I see him as damaged yes but that is part of the appeal of the character. As the cycles unfold the character grows. Kai is a part of all of them that came before but there is a maternal influence on his existence. A lot of what comes through in the writing is because of that influence that follows him through the different cycles of time and the Insect/Human conflict that continually occurs.
That will be explained in the 5th cycle which follows the incarnation of Kai that occurs after the series ending.
As to why I started this, believe me it was quite by accident and all the fault of a contest. When I wrote Prophecy and time it ended up spawning all of the other works in the Cycles series.

Yesterday, I looked through everything and realized I need to read all chapters again and make paper-based notes. Otherwise, I'm losing the track and mixing up everything. I'm simply bad at dealing with not paper-based books.
It will take time, I have some work to be finished before the weekend. But I thought it is right to let U know that I'm really interested in Ur work.
