Thanks to Netflix, (and at the absolute horror of the other I share the TV with) I have watched all four seasons. I could talk about it for hours, but don't really know where to start, thus I'm posting this typical first message that you might expect from a new fan of LEXX to keep it short as possible, because if it were too big, you might not read all of it.

Expound freely -- either by describing your experience here and/or dusting off some old threads and adding your own angles. Your fresh reaction to the show can serve to make the show seem more current to us all. Lexx will remain timeless.

Hey. I've found back to the Lexx again after 11 years. I had almost forgotten about the series when it was shown at one of Sweden's Sci Fi channel. I was so happy when I saw it again. I have bought the box with all the episodes. Had not seen the first and last season so I had a Lexx marathon. Lexx makes me laugh and smile when I think about it. It feels great to be here.
Excuse my bad English.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes to the coolest LEXX forum I can find. And welcome back The_nalle, its good to know that you still like LEXX after so much time has passed since you watched it. What do you like about it most?
The movies were all fantastic. I have only seen each of them once, they are all very strange but in a good way. Every scene seemed planned out and thought out a certain way, and a lot of it is what I might expect to happen inside of a bug. Sadly, I didn't have full attention on the first season, as I was at work remotely through most of it. I particularly liked Xev, she was so interesting to me in so many ways, especially the one played by Eva, not that the others were bad, however they seem like entirely different characters, more down to earth and not as strange as the one played by Eva. I really liked the character of Stan. His relationship with the LEXX always seemed to be a strong point of the plot. The LEXX itself is a character all its own. To me, the ship was the most consistent of the characters in the show. Every time it spoke, I felt like his responses were believable within his character. I like the fact that it wasn't another cookie cutter sci fi show, it made a serious attempt at wrapping a sci fi concept around a situation, and to me it succeeded most of the time.
I noticed in the first movie, the society was communist, as the levels of people (1-4) and such, a very interesting subject all its own. It seems like if you've done badly in life, you will be put in a position of low importance, however, Stans position seemed like a fairly important position. Season three was my favorite of the bunch, esspecially in the first few episodes of it. It seemed like the episodes were so well thought out, and all the characters seemed fully developed.
And now for questions...
- Is it my immagination, or did LEXX have a definate lack of funding around the beginning of season 2? It seems like the sets all took a turn for the worse, and suddenly looked better mid 2nd season, anyone know about this? Particularly the bridge seems like a very small room with velvet fabric, not the inside of a bug.
- Did I miss any LEXX? Meaning, I saw 4 movies, and 3 seasons, is there anything else I might wanna catch, such as spinoffs, books, lost episodes, video games, convention appearances, etc, or any known future projects LEXX related?
- Do I take the show too seriously?
- How did I never hear of this show? As a sci fi fan, I am constantly looking for some sci fi to watch, and usually see the same old shows for sale/stream, how is it that I've never heard of this thing? I guess I do recall seeing images of it on a convention website, but just wrote it off as a vampire or werewolf flick or something. And more importantly, now that it is over, what should I do with myself? I don't know if I could top the sci fi high this show put me on while watching, It would seem gthat
- Anyone know how the channels that this show was on felt about it? What about ratings? did it do well? I was kind of wondering while watching how successful it was, I didn't find much on Wikipedia..Last edited on Sat May 5th, 2012 03:34 am by guideX

Welcome aboard The_nalle.
GuideX, to answer a few of your questions, the ratings back in the day on the sci fi channel were 1 million viewers a week. I've been to 2 of the conventions the cast has been at, the last being Megaon in 2007, there are write ups and pictures, and cast videos of it in the Lexx Projects and appearances section. There weren't any spin-offs or lost episodes, no video games, no merchandise (other than Salter Street's online store years ago), and no future Lexx episodes, what we got is what we got.

Even if Lexx is history now, it stil "enchant" me. I love to see how thay used contemporary technology.. I know it´s not the same but i have made a few Sims movies before. It´s realy hard to make it work whit green screen, wright scripts and the costumes ect. Tree minut movies did take a lot of time to make and edit. But Lexx is nothing with out the very talentet actors. As guideX sad :
- Do I take the show too seriously? Well I think the glory days are over, but Lexx is going to live on for many many years.
I have one thing i wonder about. I dont know if it´s in my imagination, but it realy look like Eva Habermann and MM are in love for real, that chemistry is not there between MM and Xenia Seeberg. My favrit characters is Stanley, Kai and Bunny. God I have friends like Bunny so i laughs alot, when i see her. Hmm so many questions in my head. Gaah.

Well unfortunately the chemistry was all on screen. Eva was married at the time and MM had other interests, although their acting was very good...

I think in the first season, the two characters are supposed to be in love or lust, at some point she realizes that he can never make her happy, where during season two they have both sort of moved on and accepted that it wouldn't work out, or at least, that's what I got out of it.
Kind of like Deanna Troi and Will Riker, only they "moved on" before their show began.
I'm glad they kept it distant, it always left you wanting something more for them.Last edited on Sun May 6th, 2012 05:19 pm by guideX

The death do not feel :o) It looks like she really like him, married or not. But she is a really good Actress. I do not want to dig into their personal life. I Need to see all the episodes again, soon!! But it is not a good idea to have a Lexx marathon in five days. It turns your head all f *** t up. Normally I speak Swedish, but change it to English. LoL.
Brian Downey accepted my friend request the other day, and he have some really funny pics from shooting Lexx. He is a wonderful man.
You always feel sorry for him. All he ever want´s is a woman, and everybody rejects him or die. Poor poor Stanley.
Is there any extra material at the old Lexx dvd´s or is it only on the new Lexx box? I bought the box from 2011 and there was some material, behind the scene and some interviews.
