I ran across this essay 'Be Cool To The Pizza Delivery Dude' while listening to a book 'This I Believe' It's a humorous summation of the journey of life.

My copy of Plum Spooky arrived yesterday from Amazon.com. It's another Diesel story and it's as funny as ever.

It's Plum Spooky. Dielel's brother is in this one and Carl the monkey. Carl collects some friends along the way. So on top of everything else that's going on, Stephanie sha to deak with a troop of monkeys I might actually finish it tonight on the way home. If I do, I'll post it tomorrow.

The one thing I regret about the Stephanie Plum books is that I listen to them in about 2 to 3 days. I want them to last longer!

I finished reading 'My Sister's Keeper' by Jodi Picoult. It's a really wonderfully fascinating book about the main character who was conceived via invetro to be an exact genetic match for her older sister who has an aggressive form of leukemia and requires stem cell, bone marrow, and now a kidney transplant. The story is fast moving and a quick read. It's one of those books that is hard to put down because there is always something going on.

Lately, I've been reading more Ruth Rendell and John Donne than I'd like...
Nothing against those two, but my brain has been too lazy lately to be able to process Donne's typical sentence structure; no matter how brilliant the guy is - I've had enough.
As for Rendell... Not bad, she can be very evocative and her texts are pretty atmospheric (and I quite love that strong presence of happenstance and causality in her stories), but - somehow - her psychopaths seem as if written after a thorough study of some "writing a psycho made easy" manual.
And I'm simply quite fed up with reading stuff for essays...
