Yes they did, didn't they...

And i only saw a few episodes, but it made a lasting impression on me. and a couple of months ago i decided to seek it out and found all 4 series, which i've now just finished watching through the third time. When Kai dies for real at the end it affects me in a very deep way. I def cry a little but the real effect are the days after. It is a sort of lingering sadness and i immediately want to start watching it all over again because i miss them.
anyways. just wanted to say hi and thank you for being here. glad this post is here too. i'm not the only one who weeps for the passing of the last of the Brunnen-G
Hi KaiBlueStar, welcome to Lexxverse. I cried too at the end, not only because it was the end of Lexx, but it was just sad that it was the end of Kai, and the end of the bugship Lexx, big ole dumb bug that it was.

yes "baby" Lexx cheered me up too. and it is interesting how they left it open ended even though it is highly unlikely there will ever be a continuation. I suppose it's up to us fans to continue the story in our minds or possibly on paper for the fun of it! is there anyone out there who has done this? I imagine there must be

Yes, there is tons of Lexx fanfiction out there, you can check the old Scifi.com archives for some of it.

i've just re-watched the whole of lexx, from epidode 1 to the last and i have to say, Lexx saying that Stan was his favourite captain had me filling up. Then, once the end was near and Kai cut himself and found himself bleeding, then knowing he was dieing and singing the Brunen Gee fight song had me blubbing like a baby, such a beautiful ending and well handled, makes me appreciate Lexx so much more.
When i first saw it a few years ago i was sad but didnt cry, since then a lot of personal things have happend and watching the whole of Lexx again has allowed me to express my emotions and i feel so much more connected to it its strange...

Welcome to the board, Prince, and we all share your feelings about Lexx. The Season 4 ending was traumatic to a bunch of us and it still brings a tear to my eye to watch Kai sacrifice himself to save others. Truly a noble storyline. Hat's off to Paul Donovan, Jeffrey Hirschfield, and Lex Giggeroff for their amazing talent and stamina.

I did! It felt quite similar to you're first ever break up. It is over, I will never get it back and I will never love another the same way. Of course a little melodramatic, the feeling fades, but Yo Way Yo was heart breaking and heart warming all at the same time.

Whoa, just reading everybody's comments here is makin' me tear up a little! I've been trying to work on a fanfic of Lexx, but I can only do a page or so at a time since I tend to get emotional whenever I write =^o^= Gosh, to think I've been working on this particular fic - off and on - for five years! Wow, do I miss Lexx! And Stanley H. Tweedle

Did I cry when I first saw it? I cry now for goodness sake!

I almost did, wanted to. Its such a brilliant show... why can't it go on? But no... we're stuck with shitty shows like Paranormal, Listener, and other unoriginal BS.

I didn't cry. I don't know why, I really should have.
I think I cried while watching Terminal though.

I was totally expecting a happy ending of sorts - for Prince to keep his end of the bargain, and us to see a few brief minutes of a living Kai - so was surprised and disappointed to see Prince trick Kai.
I didn't cry, but was upset by the ending, and how unfair it was for Kai.
After a few days I realised that that was the perfect ending for the show as it was consistent with the way the show didn't follow the usual conventions for sci fi, so why should the ending either. It had a poetic symmetry too, but that still doesn't make me like it any more.
