eewwww I read that and I agree..I so totally put my foot down when it came to feeding my niece and nephews that kind of food! I remember telling my sister that sometime in the future children won't even know what a piece of fresh fruit looks or tastes like, especially when they came out with those 'fruit roll-ups'! Which is just high fructose corn syrup concentrated fruit juice pressed and rolled up..it's disgusting!
I so totally agree about the pop tarts, they are disgusting. Full of refined unatural sugar you don't need. Someone I to used know, used to feed her children on right crap and could not understand why they ran around screaming and would not behave and could not cope with their school homework. Then she got told by a doctor that she should change their diet and at first she said it was crap. I told her all they need is some fresh fruit etc. Anyway in the end she stopped their chocolate, crisps and gave them more friut and cooked fresh food instead of buying these ready made meals that are full of salt and suger. The boys were abit annoyed about it but her daughter began to love fruit and well you'd never believe they were the same children. Yeah they still freak sometimes but not 24/7 and Karen can have less stressful life now. It was not only fruit that but fresh veggies too.
Jamie Oliver had this programme about school dinners over here and he brought in a load of vegatables and asked each child did they know what they were and I could not believe they did not even know what a potato look like. We were always brought up on fresh food. And there were seve of us and my parents were not rich but they always made sure we ate right.
Sorry I've gone on a bit too much, oh well.

That he is, that he is, and so is she for surviving what happened to her.

I just had to bring this one back to the forefront..when I was a little girl my mother always but always gave us milk with our meals, I didn't even know what soda tasted like until I went out into the world on my own but nowadays that's all you see children drinking! Sodas loaded with sugars and fruit drinks which are just colored water with loads of sugar. A pity shame! When it came to food it was all made from scratch! None of those boxes or cans in my home, luckily my father worked for a butcher shop so we had fresh meat but if that wasn't forthcoming, Ma would even make a simple potato and egg taste like a gourmet meal! To this day cooking for me is a treat and not an ordeal and if there is nothing else I show my niece and nephews it's to enjoy the creation of a meal and the eating of it!

Uh no and yes. Fortunately the ground hog doesnt live in sunny colorado, because he did NOT see his shadow today, and yes that means Early Spring! Yippeeee!
When he does see his shadow that means 6 more weeks of winter, which is what it feels like now.
What i am wondering, what if the ground hog comes out and sees His Devine Shadow, what would that mean????:fear2:
