it sucked!

I watched the episode where they battled some werewolf and Queen Victoria was in it and the walls of some castle were covered in oil of mistletoe or whatnot and I'm sorry..I tried to give it some rah rah rah,  I really tried but oy..haven't I seen this before in some cheesy old b/w movie with Basil Rathbone or something?

sucked the big wienie!

nothing fresh about it at all..same old same old..and not even the Dr. could save it!

Oh well Ketana that was not a very good eppy but I can asure you the rest of them are good.

Well I liked all the doctor who series, even the black and white ones.  I can't really compare them, as the stories are different and of course with CGI the sets don't move no more, lol.

Here's a dalek for all of you to enjoy.

I didn't care for the Lantern episode very much from the second season, but the rest of it was pretty much okay, I loved how they brought back the old nemesis and that they were defeated in the end by the good doctor.  But it was sad at how it ended between Rose and the Doctor.  I look forward to the Christmas ep, Runaway Bride.

I think each actor to portray the Doctor has brought something special and interesting to the character. The only one I didn't really care for personally was Colin Baker, the 6th Doctor. He bothered me. I've got miscellaneous DVDs of Doctor Who ranging from the beginning through the Eccleston series, which I adored because I'm a huge Eccleston fan to start with, but I've not been able to afford to buy the Tennant series yet. I taped it off BBC2 tho (including the 5minute Children in Need special bit that fills the gap between the Parting of the Ways and The Christmas Invasion), so I do actually have it to watch when I want to. Some bits were better than others, like every series, but yeah... I luff it all, and like Angel am totally looking forward to the Runaway Bride ep!

One day I shall have all the DVDs, and then I shall finally be satisfied LOL *pushes the door on the TARDIS money box just to hear the dematerialization noise* Fear me... or not ~_^

I could only get hooked on Tom Baker as the Doctor. For some reason, I HAD to see every episode he was in. He wasn't conventionaly handsome, but he had 'something'...yum.

Course he looks like hammered shit now...ahem..

Here, here! I think he bothered just about everyone that was a fan of the show. I understand he was cast because he attended a party at John Nathan-Turner's home, and did a smashing job of entertaining the children there. Didn't do much for the ratings, tho'. I would have been fine if they'd just gone from Davidson to McCoy - I consider the CB years the beginning of the end of the first series.

That, and they lost Douglas Adams on the writing chores.

I just got the rest of the Torchwood eps and the Dr. Who Runaway Bride Christmas special in the mail from Plif yesterday!  Thanks Plif.  So I watched the Dr. who ep last night and it was so freaking cool!  The Arachnid empress queen special effects and the story line that her babies were really the creation of earth was great!  I really enjoyed the ep and thought that Donna would be tempted to go with the doctor at the end.  Can't wait to see what season three has in store.

I love the new Dr. Who.  Christopher Ecclegston (sp?) was awesome but David Tennet is a HOTTIE!!!!  And yeah it is cheesy but hey... we all are here because we love a campy little space show called Lexx!  Some eps are a little more slower or wierder than others but I think they are doing a good job giving Dr. Who a character everyone can like.  I am ready for the next season and I really can't wait until we get eps of Torchwood here.

OMG I cannot get over the departure of Rose (Ms Piper)! I've watched a few episodes of the new series airing currently on Beeb 1 on Saturdays [ever notice how saturday contains a turd???] and I so cannot get into it. I miss Rose *sigh*

It really just isn't the same!

I don't think that's all, there is something about it I cannot place - it just isn't as funny :/

Woo hoo, Saturday's episode was well sorted! without going all spoily, I'll just say how much I appreciate their efforts to pull together old threads.

Tell me, do any actual kids watch it nowadays?

I got the first 6 episodes from Plif last week and during the Dr. Who confidentials they had some kids on there and they seemed to love the show in the U.K.  I've watched all 6 eps now and am loving the new season, especially the two part Dalek episode.  The chemistry between the Doctor and Martha is quite different than with Rose, she seems to like him, and he does seem to care what happens to her, but not really the romantic feel it was between him and Rose, but it's still very well done.  I give it two Tardis's up so far.

Apparently Kylie Minogue is in the Christmas Special, according to Digital Spy in the UK.

Digital Spy also says that Catherine Tate is going to be the assistant next year, she was the bride in last year's Christmas Special.

Here in the states, the Sci-Fi Channel is getting back in the swing this coming Friday with an all-day DR. WHO marathon (Season 2), and starting All New (for us) SEASON 3 episodes at 7PM central (8 ET) with 2-1/2 more hours of DR WHO with episodes  "THE RUNAWAY BRIDE" and "SMITH AND JONES".  Repeats of both episodes follow again on the other side of the tv show PAINKILLER JANE (which I also enjoy watching - kinda like 'Heroes' meets 'La Femme Nikita' with a 'T3' connection, Jane played by the tall good-Loken Big Apple goddess.).

I don't know if I can wait to Christmas! I have all the season 3 shows, but really need a time machine to skip forward, get the Christmas show, and come back. Anyone got any ideas?

BTW, if you haven't seen Blink, then you missed a great ep!

Also don't want to think about living without Martha. She really helped me get over (if that's possible) Rose. At least that's what I keep telling myself.

I've only seen about 6 eps of season three, Plif is sending me the rest, I should get them soon.  I do miss Rose, she was such a spitfire and brought alot of emotional realism to the show, but I do like the new one, Martha.  I can't wait to see what's in store for the rest of season three.

Today, I watched the pilot episode of the Sarah Jane Adventures, on tv links. The show is due to be shown on the beeb's children's channel this Autumn. I liked Sarah Jane when she was a companion to the Doc all those years ago & she's really come into her own, now. It will be interesting to see what the kids it is aimed at think...

Yes, in fact I got them in the mail today, and have watched 42 and the following ep about the 'family' chasing after the doctor and he's hiding as a human, hope to get one more ep in yet tonight.

Oh great.  I did not think much of that episode 42.  I thought I'd give Mona a rest so I up loaded John Simms instead.  When you get to the episode that is from you might see the funny side.  I thought bit's of that episode was really funny.  I'll not spoil it for you, you'll see soon enough.

Oh my gawd!  This was one of the best seasons ever, so much more drama to this season than the previous ones.  I've finally seen all of season 3 and the ending is smashing!  It was as good as the ending of season one.  It's so hard to choose which eps were the best out of this series.  I really liked Blink and the family of blood and The sound of drums.  Interesting how sending the humans to Utopia ended with them turning out the way they did, when the professor was opening the orb, I thought perhaps it was evolved dalek technology and was surprised to see it was future humans who were looking for Utopia.  This season brought back an old nemesis, The Master, and he was brilliant!  I hope the new Dr. Who hangs around for awhile, I wasn't sure that I'd like David Tennant much, but he is a very, very good actor and does the role so well, adding much more emotion and drama to the series.  Am looking forward to the Christmas episode.

Oh cool. I'm glad you got to view them all. Yeah John Simms is also good actor and was right for the part of the Master. Well that is what is good about Dr Who, ever different actor brings something new to the part. The only actor I did not like was Colin Baker (Dr no 6), but all the rest of them were great.

Yes David Tennant is really good in this role. You should see him BBC version of Cassonova, it's excellant. You can watch that on Youtube btw. Serielised in three parts. Peter O' Toole played the older version to David Tennant's younger version.

You could try this link, I'm told it's very popular and has a huge amount of fans there.

If you have a MySpace account too, you could type in the groups part for Dr Who fans.

I'll try and find out some more for you if you like.  I've just found the below.

Alas, no.. (would you believe I can't set the video?  :blushsmiley2: )  The pilot episode of the Sarah Jane Adventures is on tv links, though. I expect they will repeat it in the evening sometime, as the fans won't let them get away with just an early evening showing, even though it's meant to be a kids' show.

I did try & post this link, but it didn't seem to come out, so I'll try again..

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sja/

& I found a bit more...

Sarah Jane faces Doctor's enemies

Doctor Who may be taking some time off, but a few of The Doctor's old enemies are sticking around for a new series starring one of his old companions.
The Sarah Jane Adventures will see investigative journalist Sarah Jane Smith fighting aliens with the help of her 13-year-old neighbour, Maria.
Sarah Jane travelled with The Doctor in the 70s so she's used to seeing aliens but is she ready to face the Slitheen?
You can find out in the first two-part story of the series later this month.

In Revenge of the Slitheen, Sarah Jane's young friends Maria, Clyde and Luke realise all is not as it seems on their first day at their new school.

Elisabeth Sladen first starred as Sarah Jane in the 1970s series of Doctor WhoThey soon uncover the Slitheen's deadly plan, but together with Sarah Jane can they stop the evil aliens before it's too late?
Sarah Jane is played by Elisabeth Sladen, who first appeared as Sarah Jane in an old series of Doctor Who, about 30 years ago.
The actress first returned as the journalist in an episode of Doctor Who in 2006 but now she's got her own series she said she's looking forward to some "fantastic new adventures".

TV-Links is no more. It's been taken down. I posted about it in the Extra, read all about it thread, if your interested in knowing why.

I've seen one of these the other day, as my friends son records them. It looks good. Elisabeth Sladen does well for her age, I mean she don't seem to age much.

They're running the trailer for S4 of Doctor Who on BBCAmerica this week, along with the Torchwood trailer for S2. The new seasons for both kick off in the US on the SAME DAY !! Jan. 26th is the start date for both shows, but they start about a week earlier in the UK. SET THOSE RECORDERS FOLKS !

Go to Youtuble and do a search for the new trailer, it's amazing !

I don't know why I bothered to get a new tv when I don't watch it.

I haven't heard what month yet. I usually check the BBC site every now and then to see if a new episode is announced, then start making the round of my contacts to get a copy of it as soon as possible. I would gladly pay for it, if the BBC would put it on I-Tunes or some other pay-for-view site. They are losing income by not sending it round the world the same time they show it in the UK, IMHO.

Yes it s late, it's 3.20am in fact.

Yes I totally agree with you that Dr who,as well as Torchwood and Heroes should all be board cast all around the world at the same time. And what ever other shows ppl like.

I saw tonight episode of Torchwood at the bbc website, as I've found it's put on about 2 to 3 hours after they have board casted on terrestial tv.

Perhaps the bbc will do the same with Dr Who then.

I finally found some place on google that said it was starting in April in the UK. Hopefully I'll be able to catch it on you tube, that's how I'm having to watch Torchwood.

I was just watching the last Torchwood when I realized Dr Who was on, so missed about ten minutes of the beginning, but it did not really matter as I still knew what was going on.

I could not take this episode seriouly as it was silly. I'll not say why, because I don't want spoil it for anyone who has yet to see it. The reunion part quite good though.

I enjoyed watching Dr Who confidential afterwards though. That was really interesting.

I'll watch it again though, because my meals on wheels came half way though, so I missed some of it.

You can watch the first ep of Doctor Who season 4 'partners in crime' here:

http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=WhoFan23

Just finished watching the first Dr. Who ep, wasn't that thrilled about it.  So what happens to Martha Jones, is the red-headed woman going to be his new partner then?  It was a suprise to see Rose at the end then she just faded away, hrmm... could get to be an interesting season though.

Both Martha Jones and Rose are returning. That's what I read a while back now but don't know if it is true.

I'm glad it's not only me that was not impressed with this first episode. Adipose cute little shits they were.

Lets hope next weeks one is better.

It was kinda of a "setting the mood" episode. While not really exciting, it looks like its lining up a history to be played on later in the season. At least that's what i hope. Besides, the Pillsbury Adipose were cute.

Following the hugely popular Children In Need concert in 2006, a new Doctor Who musical extravaganza has been announced.

The Doctor Who Prom, due to take place this July, will celebrate music from the show, alongside other compositions related to time and space. These include Holst's The Planets - Jupiter and Wagner's Die Walkure - the Ride of the Valkyrie.

The event will be hosted by Freema Agyeman, and feature a specially pre-recorded scene starring David Tennant and written by Russell T Davies.

The 2008 Proms season takes place from Friday 18 July to Saturday 13 September. Exact details of the Doctor Who Prom, and how you can attend, will be announced shortly.

Just finished watching Planet of the Ood, it's a really good episode, very sad what mankind did to enslave the Ood, but very uplifting at the end. I found it here on youtube:

WOW Dr Who was really good tonight. I got to see all of it too. The Sontaran Stratagem. The last time I saw these villian's was back in 1984.

It was getting really interesting and then it ended, it's two parter. Can't wait to see part two.

When I was little I could pronounce Sontaran, so I used to call them the Sultana's, lol.

You'll like this episode Angel:-)

You're right, DFG, I really liked it! The Sontarans have found a way to control earths cars with a guidance system called Atmos, but it is not what it seems. This so far is the most action packed one I've seen of the season and the trailer for next week's second part looks awesome! You can see this week's ep on You Tube:

The Dr's Daughter was an excellent episode and your in for a real treat Angel.

There's a really sad bit with Martha Jones and Dr Who.

Bit a trivia here for you. The actress that plays Jenny, Georgia Moffett is the daughter of Peter Davidson who played the firth Doctor.

I absolutely loved this episode, I must say it's my favorite so far.  The series is really picking up speed now.  That surprise bit at the end where she wakes up and takes off is so very much like what the exploring Doctor would do.  I wonder if they will cross paths again.  You can see it here on you tube - Episode 6 - The Doctor's Daughter -

When I saw the tailer for this weeks episode 'The Unicorn and the Wasp,' I was thinking it's not going be a good as the Doctor's Daughter, but hell was a I wrong. Episode 7 was really good.

I really think Season Four is the best Dr Who so far. Only six more to go now. Well have to see what they hold.

PS, I've got to do some tweaking on some of the icons, they keep showing up as 'big grin' icons when I've coded them with the right names...will keep you informed, so if you click on one and it comes out wrong, I'm working on it..

Fab Whovian icons, maya!

Can't wait till tonight's ep - it looks really dark (pardon the horrible unintended pun)

Someone told me that Georgia's mother is the actress who played Trillian in the Beeb's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series.. what a great SF pedigree, eh?:TARDIS2:

Tonight episode was really good and it's a two part, damn I have to wait for next Saturday.

Alex Kingston stared in it, and I think she may be the Doctors daughter from the future or the evil lady time lord who's name I can't spell. But I could be totally wrong.

Hot damn, can't wait for that! DFG had posted an article about the future of Dr. Who and it's going to be a bit of a dry spell, in 2009 they are only having 4 Dr. Who specials and season 5 won't come back until 2010, so we'll have to sit tight.

Episode 10 of Dr. Who is called 'Midnight'.  An interesting episode about how the unknown makes people get scared and what they'll do to their fellow man when they are after a creature that enters the body of a woman.  It can be watched here -

We get to see Rose in next week's ep!  Only 3 more eps to go this season!

I watched "Midgnight" last night, but didn't care too much for it. I don't know why. I guess because nothing got resolved. I have enjoyed all of the eps this season up to "Midnight", so I guess I was bound to not like one episode this season.

Well I think with this story your meant to resolved it your self.

Only two more episodes to go. I think 12 and 13 will be a two parter.

It was a really good ep, DFG.  Episode 11 of Doctor Who is called 'Turn Left' and can be watched here on you tube -

http://www.youtube.com/user/rootforum1

Spoilers -

Donna and the Doctor are on another planet and Donna goes in to have her fortune read, only this isn't any ordinary fortune teller, she has Donna think about her past and at what point did she make a decision that led her to meet the Doctor.  Donna changes that decision and it shows what the world would have been like if she hadn't met the Doctor and the doctor was dead.  Rose steps in and Donna gets transported back to where she makes the decision and it ends up saving the Doctor.  There's some kind of weird spider or beetle on Donna's back that feeds on changing time in a person's life that ended up changing her in the first place, but she is strong and ends up changing it back.  I really liked this episode of what would have happened if she hadn't been with the Doctor.  The last two eps of Dr. Who are two-parters and Rose is back and the Torchwood team is involved as well to save the world, as it is going to be the end of the Universe with attacks from the Daleks and more.

I just finished watching Dr. Who episde 12, The Stolen Earth.  It will blow you away.  The earth is stolen and put into a place with 26 other stolen planets.  The doctor had been on earth when it was stolen and now was in just the darkness of space.  I don't want to spoil it for those that haven't seen it yet, but you can watch it here on you tube.  The ending is really surprising and leaves a HUGE cliffhanger!

I read that there is speculation, that some how his hand in the jar gives him his current DNA, so he regenerates back into his old self. It'll be interesting to see how they do it. It was an action packed hell of an episode!

Yeah I saw that on the confidential on you tube, I thought he did very well, playing the creepy Davros.  I liked how they showed the history of Davros and his and the Daleks development over the past 45 years.

The ending episode 13 'Journey's End' can be watched on you tube here -

http://www.youtube.com/user/xXxsammyrocksxXx

The video isn't the best quality, but I just have to say this has been one of the best series endings yet!  The very end was so sad, but I don't want to spoil it for those that haven't seen it, hopefully I'll have sci fi back before the series ends on that station and can catch it on the regular boob tube.

Thanks, DFG. I actually did try his first, but the video moves kind of out of sync, slower than usual. I'm getting the Dish so I should get it in time by the time this ep airs on sci fi so hopefully I can actually see it on television.

This guy did a reload of Doctor Who Journey's End in better quality, look for it to say 'reload' when you run your mouse over it.

I have to say, the finale totally kicked ass....and it appears they set it up to give us hints on who the new Torchwood members might be for S3.

WARNING, CONTAINS SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT!

Yeah they did leave it wide open to be Mickey and Martha Jones as additions to the Torchwood team, I hope they are.  It was great to have all the past companions and current companions together along with the Torchwood team.  Who'd of thought there would be two Doctors?  That bit was quite a surprise!  When all hope was lost Doctor #2 and Donna come to the rescue!  I think it was only fitting that the new Doctor ,who was partially human, spend the rest of his days with Rose as Rose and the Doctor did love each other.  She wanted the real doctor but it was still the Doctor, just more human who would live out a normal life span, so at least she got a part of him.   The ending was so sad, having to bring Rose back to the parallel dimension, but that's where her life was now and the Doctor knew that, he made quite the personal sacrifice for her.  And Donna will never know now who the Doctor was or all the adventures they went on from the mind wipe.  If the Doctor hadn't done it, she'd be dead from absorbing his knowledge when the new second Doctor was created, but he had to do it otherwise she would have died.  I still think there's a chance that Davros escaped, because it left Dalek Caan and Davros there on the burning ship, and before it exploded it's possible that Dalek Caan could have used a temporal field saving himself and Davros again.  I don't think they'd get rid of such a huge nemesis of the Doctor quite so easily, so only the future will tell.  At the end they showed a preview for the Christmas 2008 episode and it's the return of the Cybermen!  I'm glad they're doing another Christmas episode, because it sounds like 2009 won't contain much new Doctor Who, with only a few specials and the series supposedly not returning until 2010.  I wonder who the new companion will be?

Oh that would be cool if it were Graham Norton. I really think he's funny. He once said he's not very good actor but he did ok in Father Ted episode, that was really funny.

I get to see the last three eps on real TV yay!  I have sci fi now so I get to catch the last 3 eps of season 4 on the boob tube, it's really different from seeing them on you tube, which isn't the best quality and a much smaller screen.  I really wanted to see the last two eps in particular on the boob tube.

For you Doctor Who and Torchwood fans, several of the cast of the shows will be at Comic Con this weekend.  January 24 - 26 and the G4 television station will be airing from Comic Con, starting at 7 pm eastern I believe.  If you have Dishnetwork it's on channel 191 and supposedly they are supposed to air the Dr. Who and Torchwood panels, at least that's the buzz over at the BBC America board.

There's both a Doctor Who AND Torchwood panel at Comic Con, however, David Tennant was not scheduled to appear on the DW panel, just RTD and Julie whatserface. John, Gareth, Eve, Naoko and Burn are all scheduled for the TW panel.

The reason why there is only going me a few episodes of Dr Who next year is because actor David Tennant is doing Hamlet and here's a link about him in the play with some photos.

OOhhhh thanks, DFG, I also heard that they weren't allowing any fans to get DW stuff signed by DT or Star Trek stuff signed by Patrick Stewart either, the RSC is a bunch of snobs. They have no problem booking them because of their huge sucess, and selling their action figures in their gift shop, but no stuff signed of a 'scifi' nature. Jerks.

TENNANT QUITTING DR WHO ! This on BBC today..

David Tennant is to stand down as Doctor Who, after becoming one of the most
popular Time Lords in the history of the BBC science fiction show.

Tennant stepped into the Tardis in 2005, and will leave the role after four
special episodes are broadcast next year.

He made the announcement after winning the outstanding drama performance prize
at the National Television Awards.

"When Doctor Who returns in 2010 it won't be with me," he said.

"Now don't make me cry," he added.

"I love this part, and I love this show so much that if I don't take a deep
breath and move on now I never will, and you'll be wheeling me out of the Tardis
in my bath chair."

Three years was "about the right time" to play the role, he told the BBC.

"I think it's better to go when there's a chance that people might miss you,
rather than to hang around and outstay your welcome," he said.

WWWWWWAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! Oh no!  He was a great Dr. Who!!!!  Once you really like someone in the role they're playing and they change it, it somehow is never the same, ah well.....I wish him luck in his career and it will be sad to see him go.

Here's a link to an article and a video about his leaving -

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO please David don't do it ..... Sob! .... WE LOVE YOU. Sob! ALL THE WORLD THE UNIVERSE WE LOVE YOU. XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Wasted words I know, he's made up his mind .... SOOOOOOOOOO who will be the next Doctor Who ?????????

Well I bet 50p that it will be a woman, yes you heard correctly "a woman". They are putting out MAN names at the moment to throw us all off the scent, but I defo think it'll be a woman. The audience need something earth shatteringly different, and as the trend seems to be in a lot of different guises we have no problem with a woman taking the helm of any adventure movie or TV show and quite right too!
Any hoo I think this will be there next course of action, although, whoever comes after them if they do continue ?????? has got their work cut out unless they are Warwick Davis, who would after a woman Doc Who would  add an alternative slant ...... ?????

Both case scenarios

Women Doc ..... as David Tenant regenerates in the given new posture, with arms splayed out the camera is at a high position, once he has regenerated with the cam in this position we can see it's a woman but a woman with large breasts, the doctor looks down at them, then grabs them says something appropriate to the situation then cut to credits !!!

Warwick Davis scenario... The Doc is regenerating, suddenly he disappears from view, where has he gone ????? camera cranes down to a new small Doc, he looks up at the Tardis controls above him, "Bloody hell" or a word the BBC will allow come into play .... Cut to title sequence.

Watch this space.

HEY CARL !! I'll have to disagree with you on the Woman Doctor bit. There was a live panel show for Dr Who a couple years ago and someone in the audience asked about having a woman Doctor after DT leaves, and Russel T Davies asked the audience to hold up their hands if they'd watch a show with a woman Doctor, and only about 4 did, and he said "Need I elaborate?" So I don't think it's an option at this point...:)

There's been talk of this many years ago that Dr Who should be a woman. I personally think it should always be a man.

Here's a photo I whipped off LJ earlier, sadly I did not know about the National TV Adwards so I missed them:(

Hope the old BBC are doing a switch a roo and trying to distract us by pretending that David Morrissey is going to be the next Doctor Who ?????

If anyone watched 'Children In Need' they would have seen a clip from the Christmas special, it's 2 min clip seemed to be chosen to introduce us to the new Doctor.

I know David Morrissey is a fine actor but he just didn't immediately  feel right unlike Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant did from the onset, time will tell and he'll probably turn out to be the best so far I hope.....???????

Bloody hell, I was hoping for at least a CUTE guy to replace David Tennant...this guy is just not up to par with the sexiness of both DT and CE. WHAT ABOUT RICHARD HAMMOND?? Yeah, he's short, but you could get the female stars to stand In a box, I don't think they'd mind....he's HOT !

Hrmm.... I wonder. I know David Tennant is going to do a 5 special episode after the Christmas one. Welp, obviously it's a future doctor, but whether it'll be the one replacing Tennant still remains to be seen. Or it's an obvious glimpse without completely giving it away....until they really announce who it's going to be, it's all speculation still.

I really think that David Morrissey is the wrong choice to play him in my opinion.

I still think Elliot Cowan is better for the role but perhaps he don't wish to play him or what I read was not true. Shit I wish I could find that article.

Yeah it's sad that David is leaving but at least he's been the doctor for quite a few series. One must move on. The only down side to that is that the Time lord only has about 3 regeneration but as it's sci-fi I'm sure the writers will think of clever way around it.

I've seen the new Doctor and he just seems to frumpy. David Tennant really raised the bar with his fine acting, he was funny, dramatic, emotional. It's going to be hard accepting a new Doctor.

Well it looks like it's not going to be David Morrisey from the Dr. Who Christmas episode, it's going to be a young 26 year old guy named Matt Smith, it was just announced today -

Thanks for posting that.  I'm real surprised they've announced it so soon.  He looks a bit like a younger version of David Tennant.  I'm wondering if this the actor my niece knows and was telling me about last year.

I thought he looked a bit like him too, tall and lanky.  Maybe that's why they decided to go with him, someone that looked more like David Tennant because he's so popular.

Welllllll!

I caught the very end of Doctor Who confidential and saw the 11th Doctor pull some faces. I have to admit my first reaction was NOOOOOOOOOO! WTF have they done ...... BUT!

1 Hour later I watched the whole programme on BBC catch up and to be truthful once I had seen the whole programme and heard him talk and give his feelings on the part, I could see why they had chosen him.

Yes he is younger, but he also at the same time has an older inner self, if you can get what I'm on about, there is definitely something distinctly unusual and odd in a kwerky way that makes him perfect for the role.

The bad thing about the BBC UK doctor who site, is that they won't play the video unless you're in the UK. It tells me it's outside of my area.

It looks like there's not much on regular youtube for the Doctor Who christmas 2008 special, and what is, is very poor quality. I found the Christmas episode in 7 parts with very good quality here -

I saw the Christmas special and thought it was rubbish although not as bad as that farce 2007 Christmas special. I don't like the guy who is going to play the next doctor either.
The more I watch it the more I can't be bothered to watch more. Apart from a handful of episodes all the recent series have, in my opinion, been terrible. The only thing that saved them was some great casting and stories like Blink & Midnight.

I will see how the new guy is and probably watch the upcoming specials cos I really want to like them but it’s so hard to like something so disappointingly bad.

Interesting thing, this being the 11th doctor. I recall an old ep with The Master that claimed a Time Lord can only regenerate 12 times. That is supposidly what happened to The Master, he tried to regenerate a 13th time and it went very badly for him.  I wonder what they will do when it comes time for The Doctor to regenerate the 13th time.  They only have 1 more replacement option before the writers have to deal with the issue.

I've never heard of this woman.

Allen in lead for Dr Who role?

Pop star Lily Allen has been linked to a starring role in iconic sci-fi series Dr Who.

The singer was name checked as one of the possible stars BBC bosses are considering to play the Doctor's sidekick when the show returns to screens in 2010.

Unknown actor Matt Smith was named as David Tennant's replacement after it was announced he would step down from the role - one of the biggest parts on TV - last year.

BBC executives are now hoping to fill the role of the Doctor's female companion, and have their sights set on a well-known face after former pop star Billie Piper's successful turn on the show.

And the show's executive producer Piers Wenger hinted that Allen would be a great asset - insisting he would be "delighted" to see the Smile hitmaker at an audition.

He tells the Daily Telegraph newspaper, "Having got the casting of the Doctor out of the way, the companion role is where we will be looking next. Someone terribly exciting like Billie Piper, who was at the beginning of her acting career but who had a profile for other reasons, would be great. We are looking for someone whose light can burn brightly.

"We would never cast anyone on the basis of their celebrity, but if Lily wanted to audition we would be delighted. It would be a lot of fun."

Other stars who are reportedly being considered for the role include actress/model Kelly Brook and singer-turned reality show star Rachel Stevens.

Thanks for posting it, the only thing I don't like is Michelle Ryan, she sucked as the Bionic woman, it was a horrible series.  I hope she doesn't end up being the new companion for '10.

I can't see that first video you posted, it says not available for my country. But I was able to see the second one. It's great to see David back in the role, and also a bit sad that this is the last Doctor Who he is doing. I don't like the person that's going to be his *companion* in this short series, I hope she doesn't end up being the one for series five either. Thanks for posting the links.

Oh that actress is good actress. She used to be in a well know soap over here called East Enders and then she was in the short lived remake of the Bionic Woman. Michele Ryan her name is.

Yeah I'm quite sad that David Tennant is making his last Dr Who.

I did watch the new Bionic Woman show, and was actually kind of excited about it as I used to love the original show as a kid, but was very disappointed in the show's premise and her acting, and I've seen eastenders here on public television and her in it.  I've just never liked her acting.  Oh well, we'll see how she does in Doctor who.  Still waiting for them to show the Christmas episode over here, I did watch it on youtube, but would like to see it on television.

Yeah I saw the first episode of the remake and I had a hard time trying stay awake, but that's her fault, it's the writers.

If you have bad materiel it don't matter how good your actors are the show's going be bad. Well that's my opinion.

I watched Planet of the Dead.  It's really good.  Michelle Ryan was really good in it.

The first time you see her, you think Mission Impossible and Lara Croft in one.  When you get to see it you'll understand what I mean by that.

I've also watch Dr Who Confidential which was ok, if only I had stayed a wake long enough to watch it.

Also seen the trailer to the next episode entitled The Waters of Mars.  People are having a very watery death looks like.  But it don't mention when it will be showing which sucks.

I think David Tennants Dr is going to have a nasty ending and it's got something to do with The Master, but that's only a guess.  Got wait until the Christmas special to see that and the re-generation.

David Tennant's final Doctor Who episode - Doctor Who spoiler

Every one's favorite Doctor revealed lots of juicy secrets about his last ever Doctor Who episode, End of Time, at annual geek-fest Comic Con this week...

"The final stories are very emotional. The story takes you to places that the Doctor can't go on a regular basis," said David.

The 38-year-old actor also revealed his character would meet his end at the hands of arch enemy The Master, played by John Simm.

Scriptwriter Russell T Davies - who is also leaving the show - said fans can also expect the Doctor's sidekicks Rose Tyler (Billie Piper), Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman) and Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) to disappear from screens too.

Meanwhile, David - who will be replaced by Matt Smith at the end of the year - says he would never rule out returning to the cult BBC One show for a 50th anniversary episode.

He said: "Well, nothing's planned, no one knows what might happen. But, well, 2013 is the 50th anniversary, isn't it?"

Filming of the much anticipated fifth series of Doctor Who has begun on location in Wales. We reveal some of this season's dramatic plot details and take a gander at the new team in action...

The new Doctor, played by Matt Smith, has had a rather dramatic makeover…

His preppy suit and funky baseball trainers have been replaced in favour of a rather ugly tweed jacket and daft bow-tie.

His glamorous new assistant Amy Pond, played by Karen Gillan, was also on set and looked much more the thing in her cute get-up…

Interestingly, Alex Kingston was also bobbing about for the first day's filming...

We last saw Alex's character, River Song, in series four – but didn't she die already?

Professor River Song was an archaeologist from the 51st century who claimed she had already met the Doctor in the future.

There are already rumours flying around the web about how the Doctor and River are connected.

Some suggest the pair may actually be married, while others say she might even be the Doctor's mother…

The 13-episode series is set to air on BBC1 next spring.

Well it's not rocket science I knew the Master was coming back and would have an part in ending or trying to end Dr Who, so his only alternative is to regenerate, so that's no spoiler for me.

I had a feeling at the end of season 3, it wouldn't be that easy to get rid of the Master. I hope the next series is just as good with a new Doctor. BBC America just showed the planet of the dead, it was kind of boring. If UK is getting the new series next spring, then we might not see it til next summer.

I'll really miss David Tennant. He brought so much to that role. But every actor does. The only doctor I did not like was Colin Baker as that actor was so up him self but he did not last long because the then head of light entertainment boss hated science fiction, so it got canceled.

I have no idea, but when I do I'll let you know.

I know how you feel regarding getting UK programs six months later, the same thing happens with some of your US programs and sometimes we have to wait as long as a year.

It really sucks because if you have friends in different countries and you all watch the same thing, you can't chat about it because either they have not seen it or I might not of.

DFG, have you heard anything more about when the DR. Who Waters of mars ep is coming out, only thing I can find says fall 2009. I watched a trailer of it, it looks pretty goodl. Reminds me of a recent Eureka episode where the people died from water, basically drowned from the inside out.

Oh yes I totally agree. He'll be a hard act to follow but with Dr Who most times it works out because each actor brings a different turn on it. He's basically the same man but with a twist.

Remember when you were sad that Christopher Eccleston was leaving but you soon got used to David, so I think it will be the same for the new dr who.

I knew from the very start that the Master would be back and would have a hand in David's Dr's ending. Hell the doctor only has two more regenerations, because Time Lords can only regenerate 12 times.

Captain Jack is going to be in the two parter of Dr Who, goody.

Part One:

It’s the Tenth Doctor’s final journey – but his psychotic nemesis the Master has been reborn, on Christmas Eve. With both determined to cheat death, the battle ranges from the wastelands of London to the mysterious Immortality Gate, while the alien Ood warn of an even greater danger approaching, as a terrible shadow falls across the entire Universe.

Part Two:

The Doctor faces the end of his life as the Master’s plans hurtle out of control. With the sound of drums growing louder, and an ancient trap closing around the Earth, the Doctor and Wilf must fight alone. But sacrifices must be made, and the deadly prophecy warns: "He will knock four times."

I read that it will be shown on bbc America Part One - Part One will air on December 26, 2009 and Part Two Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 9:00 p.m.

So that's real cook Angel, you don't have to wait very long for it.

Make sure you'll have plently of tissues.

I saw the Waters of Mars over the weekend.  It was good to see the Doctor in action again.  At the end he changes his mind, even though he knows he shouldn't save them, and he seemed not quite himself, like he was all powerful because he can change time.  I found that quite out of character for the Doctor and wonder if in a way he's cracking, so that's why he did it?  He knows he's near the end of his time, the Christmas episode looks really good, can't wait to see that, but very sad it's David Tennant's last bit as Doctor Who.

I think maybe it has something to do with the Time lords coming back.  Perhaps they had a hand in controlling him but that's just a guess really.  Perhaps he's just cracking up like you said.

What a great ending to David Tennant's career as Dr. Who.  It was absolutely brilliant as is David Tennant, he will be sorely missed as this character.  He was the best Doctor since Tom Baker had the role in the 1970's. It seems silly, but I had tears in my eyes at the end of it, it was sad to see him in his last episode.  I wish him well and only hope the next actor playing Doctor Who will be half as brilliant.

While looking up some old tv theme music to a program my mum used to watch and I came across this site. Very interesting.

Anyway, here's the latest version of the new Dr Who theme, which at first I thought WTF have they done to it but it sort of grows on me a bit now.

It didn't sound too different to me, the beginning did a bit.  Have they said when the next season will start in the UK?

I checked out BBC America and it said the new Doctor Who would be starting April 17th, so it looks like we may only be a week behind you! Usually we never saw it that quickly after the UK did.

Seeing how my tv is no where near my socket as the back room is a disaster area, I had to watch the new Dr Who on the very slow bbc iplayer.

Anyhow's it was really good.  Well written, filmed and acted.  Angel you will like it.  It's a bit predictable the story but it is really good.  Don't want give too much away, but all I can say is eye, eye.

The theme music is a bit strange and good at the same time.

They've changed the tardis completely and I'm not sure if I really like it.

Well next episode is on 10th of April, so I hope I'm able to watch it.

2 more weeks for us DFG.  I hope I like the new Doctor Who, it's really going to be hard filling David Tennan's shoes!  The trailer looked good, so does this Amy become his companion?

Being that I watched the show during the end of it original run back in the 80's I just have a problem with anyone who has tried to fill Tom Baker's shoes.

Yes David Tennant is going be missed by quite a few people including my poor niece who is beside her self as she really likes DT.

Well all the actors that played Dr Who were good a part from Colin Baker. I just did not like his who.

I'm older enough to remember the very first actor to play him, William Hartnel. I was only a wee baby though, so I think the re runs later I watched.

The new Doctor wasn't bad, but the girl was wayyyyyy too young to be a companion. Let's get real, it's almost squick worthy that the Doctor, who's over 900 years old, immediately asks this nymphet if she wants to go 'traveling' with him, after him delaring on the past couple of eps with DT that he's better off alone. I think they're just trying to bring in a younger crowd, make it a 'Gossip Girls' version of Doctor Who, or something. Besides, she annoyed the crap out of me.

Loving the new series. The new theme & titles is brilliant even though its proving unpopular with some. The writing is much better than in previous series now Russell T Davies has packed up & gone. I think Matt Smith is doing great as the Doctor & i like the Amy Pond. My daughter loves her!

I quite like Amie Pond. I prefer Russell T Davis writing. I managed to view the third episode on the weekend. I just tell you this they've up dated the Daleks and I don't like them much.

I think Tom Baker, Peter Davison and David Tennant will be my all time favorite Dr Who's.

I think the new Daleks look alright. Not quite as good as the older ones but they have a better paint job at least.

I am so glad Russell T Davis is gone, I never liked his writing or the way he produced the series. He was responsible for the worse episodes & worst writing ever. Steven Moffat, in 3 episodes is doing better then Davies did in 5 years. I liked Tennant’s Doctor but I think he got lumped with such rubbish stories. And all Tennant ever did was run. By series 4 it was a joke the writers put in episodes (Doctors Daughter for example).

They don’t need to appeal to a younger audience, they were already aiming for kids just look at all the merchandise & toys they shovel out.

I liked this episode, the beast below.  It was cruel what they did to the star whale when all it did was to help them.  I like that Amy's character is no-nonsense exploratory, remind me a bit of Donna that way.  Still trying to get used to the new Doctor.

Yeah I'm still trying get used to him too. Like my niece says he looks strange. Well the poor bugger can't help that but he is good.

I really do like Amy Pond. You should see the making of the episodes quite interesting see those two actors re act to each other.

The Weeping Angel one is a two parter ok.

I don't really like the new daleks. Yeah the are based on the original because of the different colors stand for different daleks departments but I don't like the way they stick out at the back and also where the gun and plunger is it's awful.

Really loveing the theme music and the opening though.

I liked the 2nd half of the weeping angels more than the first part. We got to see River Song again, and she's as mysterious as ever, so that leaves it open for more. I wish they'd have some new Doctor's enemies, instead of rehashing all the same ones.

Vampire of Venice is your next one.  For me I did not really enjoy it.  But this past week I watched Amy's Choice which was a really good episode.

They are going be bringing back the Lady Time Lord who's like the master evil.  She's called the Rani I think is how you spell it.  And Gillian Anderson is supposed to be playing her.

Is it just me or has this series gotten incredibly boring? I mean, they've already trotted out the Daleks and the Weeping Angels, and the series just started. I don't know WHY they insist on the same old villains for this series, when there's so much back catalog of history of this show, to mine good characters from. Plus, the new guy is an ok actor, but he doesn't blow my skirt up, AND his sidekick in an annoying cow.

Just MHO, please ignore my mini-rant. I SOOOO miss David Tennant.

I've just watched The Lodger for the second time. Much better episode then last week. Only two more episodes and it's finished.

I don't know whether there's going be a Xmnas Special yet.

I think maybe Pro River Song might be the Rania or has something to do with her. She's like the Master an evil time lord.

We just got part one of two, the hungry earth episode.  It wasn't bad. This ep feels much more Dr. Whoish, rather than the same old enemy, that we've seen so far this season.

Give the boy a chance.

I`ve missed Eccleston terribly, when he suddenly left the show.

Tennant was to comic for my taste (..at least, I was in that kind of mood then..)

3 months after (when I was facing with some kind of depression, and when there was nothing interesting to watch),I returned to Tennant.

And than suddenly,miracle happened...He became perfect Dr.Who.

Then came the best episodes after "Empty child",

like "Silence in the library" or "Don`t blink"...(....sniff.....)

When Tennant left Tardis ,Matt Smith had to deal with very big chalenge,

and (by my opinion),... he made it.

He maybe looks too young for the role (and that bow-tie is priceless),

but He is still a Doctor ,able to shoot 100 words in just one minute ,

and maybe He looks even more like alien than Tennant.

Main problems with this season are:

-effects are cheaper

-Green screen is more obvious

-camera and the angles of shooting are different  ...

(...someone in the BBC has reduced the costs, and that`s it...)

Actually you wrong the effects are just the same and the camera angles are different for a reason and they are good stuff.

The only thing I'd say is that I did perfer Russell T Davis writing better then Steven Moffet apart from the Angels script which he wrote was good.

1.)Dunno..:(

Everything looks cheaper..

(...Per instance:that episode with vampires in Venice.)

Maybe they are using different kind of lights.

Previous episodes had less light, and this new season is full of it.

2.)What about "Silence in the library"?

Steven Moffet wrote that too.

They may have less light but that does not mean they are cheap special effects. A neighbour of mine works for the bbc and knows this department.

The bbc also have how they made the episode and why afterwards and so it does explain why the do things they do. But perhaps you don't get those programs in as well.

I know when we got for example Heroes showing over here, we only got the series and not the how they made things but they are on the dvd's.

The ending of the two parter was sad, you'd think the Doctor could go back in time to save Rory since he has a time machine.  And the even sadder part is that she won't even remember him anymore.

Oh,..she will see Rory once again, and she will remember him, don`t vorry.

Problem will happen after that...:-(

(Oh...Cybermen,Daleks,Sontarans,all in one place.......Can`t wait for the part two...;)

PS

Effects are better this time, except for the Daleks.

With all those colors (one blue, the other one is yellow, and then red),they look like toys made for children...:-(

Those Daleks are based on the original daleks and the reason why they are all different colors is they are all different special.  I can't remember off hand what color stands for what, but there's like the scientist dalerk, milerty etc.

And for those in the US that have not seen the Pandorica Opens episode you should really not be giving the spoiler but spoiler is too much.  Ok to hint but that is too much informaiton.

Actually, the new Daleks are designed more after the Peter Cushing movie versions. And I'm especially fond of the new lenses on the eye-stalks of the new Daleks.

SPOILER ALERT!!! - The Doctor regenerates back into Christopher Eccleston in the finale of "The Pandorica Opens". It turns out the last four seasons were a dream and Bobby Eweing was in the shower all along...

Sorry, I just couldn't help myself.

Just finished watching "The Big Bang" as well. The writing has been just as good under the new producers as it was back in the Russell T. Davies episodes. In fact, just because I'm beginning to like the new Doctor - and Amy and Rory so well, and how brilliantly the storyline of the entire season was structured, this has been one of my favorite seasons yet. I wasn't expecting to like the new shows anywhere near as much as I do.

But I think the William Hartnell fez should come back. Because fezzes are cool, kinda like bowties.

Just watched the episode last night where they meet Van Gogh and some kind of creature is terrorizing the neighborhood, wasn't the best ep, felt kind of filler for me. I did like the two parter from the past two weeks with the fish civilization, I hope the series gets better. I guess I'm still having a hard time getting over Tenant as the doctor, this one hasn't grown on me yet.

I'm not keen on this episode either.  I can't wait for you to see the last episode Big Bang, it will blow your mind away
:bounce_pinka::2567:

Your next episode will be The Lodger which is a really good one, I think.

So counting that one you've got three more episodes.

I'm just going off shortly to watch the last episode Big Bang.

Sorry to hear that you didn't like the Van Gough episode, ladies. I got a huge thrill out of seeing him in contemporary times at his own exhibit! In fact, it almost made my eyeballs leak.
I too was kinda put off by Matt Smith, initially, and it wasn't until this episode that I bought into him as the Doctor. David Tennant didn't grab me either until the "School Reunion" episode that featured Anthony Head and reintroduced Sarah Jane Smith. What can , I say? I really liked Chris Eccleston!
But, Matt Smith has the gig now - it might have taken him a while, but he now has my confidence as the Doctor.
And he doesn't look too stupid in a Fez.

This is really clever. If you've ever seen the original from the Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy you'll understand it and find it really funny as well.

I love the HHGTTG by the way. Have all five book's etc.

Some one on my FB posted a link of Matt Smith and orbital and well one thing lead to another and I found this really good blog.  WARNING has lots of spoiler if your in the States and only seen up to The Doctor and Vincent.

But if your very good one could just click on all the interviews and stuff for this episode and previous ones.

I liked this last episode where the Doctor was trying to live like a human, the running out of the shower scene with a towel on was funny.

Spoiler for Xmas special.  For those of you who are yet to see the last two episodes of Dr Who you might not wish to look but if you do you'll have to highlight it to read it.

Christmas Guest Stars Revealed!

12th Jul 2010

It's been confirmed that the BAFTA-winning Sir Michael Gambon:2567: and Welsh star Katherine Jenkins are playing major roles in the 2010 Doctor Who Christmas Special.

The adventure will star Matt Smith as the Doctor, alongside Karen Gillan as Amy and Arthur Darvill as Rory. They'll be joined by, amongst others, Michael Gambon, one of the industry's most respected actors who has starred in TV classics such as The Singing Detective and Longitude as well as Academy Award-winning films including Gosford Park and Sleepy Hollow. Recently he has become popular with a new generation, right across the world as Professor Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies.

Katherine Jenkins also stars in the special. She's currently best known as a mezzo-soprano and is one of the world's most successful classical singers. 'I'm over the moon to be involved in the Doctor Who Christmas Special!' Katherine said. 'I can't quite believe it as it's a part of the family tradition at the Jenkins household. I heard the news that I got the role on my 30th birthday and it was the best birthday present ever!'

We'll be bringing you the latest news about the special over the weeks and months ahead.

If you guys haven't tried the Dr Who audio books, you should check them out. I've got several of the Torchwood audio books, some of them narrated by John Barrowman and they're great to listen to while driving. Amazon.com has tons of them on sale right now.

I loved the Pandorica's Box episode.  I had to record it to DVR and watch it this morning as I was running away from bad weather last night.  I loved the story line how all the Doctor's old enemies formed an Alliance and planned this elaborate lie to lure him there!  Too bad Rory is only back as a machine, I wonder if the real Rory is lost forever.  And is Amy truly dead?  I really wonder how the doctor is going to get out of this one!  This seems like a much shorter season, how many eps have their been like 8?

Very clever stuff I say.  I liked it so much I watched it four times.
I don't own a DVR.

That was good you could watch it after all that scary business regarding the storms etc.

No there were actually 13 episode Angel.  Same lot of episodes as David Tennant's Who.  BB been number 13.

Doctro Who season 5 went out with a Big Bang!  I thoroughly enojed the last two episodes.  While I'm still trying to get used to the new Doctor, Matt Smith, I thought he did a smashing acting Job in the Pandorica and the big bang.  I can't wait to find out what River Song has in store for the Doctor in the future.  I do hope the stories continue.

The BBC announced today that season six of Doctor Who will open with a spectacular two-parter set in the U.S. In the special two-parter co-produced with BBC America, key scenes will be filmed in Utah for a story set in the late '60s in which the Doctor, Amy and Rory find themselves on a secret summons that takes them on an adventure from the desert in Utah - right to the Oval Office itself.

Well there's a Matt Smith fb but not run by the actor, and that's where I got the above information. But in an interview with the Real MS is mentioned that they were going be filming the Xmas Speacial, whether that's going be a two parter I don't know.

When I find out any more I'll post it.

In case any Whovians are interested, you can download a free PDF file for Whotopia, a Canadian Doctor Who fanzine. It's pretty cool and, at 76 pages, there's loads of info. :o)

Thanks for posting that link, Angel! Sharing it on Facebook, now. :o)

BTW, I wanted to make sure that all American DW fans know that the Christmas special will air on BBC America on Christmas Day!  That's a first!  Also, prior to the episode, BBCA is going to air the Doctor Who Proms - a musical DW extravaganza.  The Proms have never aired here in the US, so this is really cool.  Usually you end up having to troll YouTube for video highlights...  :c030a:

I did hear that they're thinking of doing a DW/Torchwood crossover with the 11th Doctor at some point. Whether that means the Doctor will be on Torchwood, or the other way around, I'm not sure. I'll let you know if I hear anything more about it.

I do know that Torchwood starts filming in LA this January. Eve Myles mentioned it in a recent interview about her relocating to the US.

I read a couple of articles that said both John Barrowman and Eve Myles would be returning and another that said they hoped Joh would be returning, but it's going to be shown next Summer on the Starz channel in the U.S. and will be 10 episodes.

I agree wholeheartedly!  Wonderful episode, just perfect for Christmas Day... and I cried a bit, too.  Michael Gambon was perfect, Katherine Jenkins was perfectly lovely... and Matt Smith makes a brilliant Doctor.

I hope they release that song becasue I just love it. Murry Walker composed it. I saw the bbc confidental directly after watching it and that was quite interesting.

Steven Moffat said when he was young he used to have nightmares of sharks in his room.

Makes Jaws movie look prewney. I can't stand that movie anyway.:TARDIS4::ICONDW2:

The soundtrack for A Christmas Carol is supposed to be released in February.  I don't know if that's just for the UK, or if it's for the US, too.  That song at the end was hauntingly beautiful...

I thought it was absolutely brilliant! I had a tear in my eye too when his older self hugged his younger self. Katherine Jenkins has such a beautiful voice and she did a great job acting as well, all in all I really liked this special!

I was surprised. This is the first episode with the 11th Doctor that I really liked (even though the ending was dangerously bordering on sappy). I think it really helped that Amy Pond had a very small part in it. I'm sorry, but she annoys me to no end! Matt Smith was great, though. And the singer lady... loved the song she sang to the shark, not so much the more contemporary one at the end.

Looks good! I especially like how he's not wanting to trust River Song, I think she has her own agenda and always has.

You have to remind me next week that it's going to be on! Can't wait to see it.

They did a special on BBC America tonight for a sneak preview and background on the new series, it looks pretty promising.

On a sad note (as posted on Yahoo today and Facebook) Elizabeth Sladen, who played Sarah Jane Smith, the companion to Tom Baker's Dr Who, passed away from a battle with cancer. She guest-starred with David Tennant in his series and with some of the Christmas specials with the Torchwood crew as well. May she rest in peace.

When that episode ended, I actually found myself wishing it was next Saturday! Cliff hangers are just plain evil.

Kudos to the crew for the dedication to the amazing Elisabeth Sladen aka Sarah Jane Smith.

The whole episode was a roller coaster ride and what a cliffhanger ending! I think this is going to be an exciting season. I still miss David Tennant though.

It is so cool you and I got to see it the same time, well you did not have to wait three weeks I mean.

There's a rumor going around that David Tennant is going be appearing in this season 6 along with Matt Smith.

So do you think that small child asking for help in the space suit is RiverSong?

Want to hear my spoiler?  It's a bit unsavory (to me, anyway):

Amy's pregnant, and her daughter is River Song.

This comes from Gallifrey Base, or whatever it's called, so it's unverified (I've forgotten how to do spoilers here, sorry).

So did I.  But what does it mean, 'from the future'?  From last season?  From when Donna and Ten met her?  She seems to travel about with alacrity, doesn't she?

Gallifrey Base has been correct in the past, but they've also been incorrect about character details.  'Time will tell, Time Lord.'  I forget which ep that one's from.  Anyone?  Anyone?  Anyone?

I got spoiled with that one by accident.  How do we do spoilers here?  Remind me, please?  I can't believe I've forgotten.  :(  Duh.

For those of you that are not on my facebook list, I thought I'd share this with you.  Plif who original posted this.

It's very funny and not only can you spot The Dr but to the far left A J Rimmer is attending.  I'm wondering if he's thinking Smedheads.

It certainly was an exciting episode, and it inferred that the child in the space suite was Amy Pond's, but it left so many questions unanswered.   The child could regenerate at the end also inferring that it was the Doctor's or at least of timelord DNA?  I hope the story continues so we get some explanations.

Still not caring overmuch for this iteration of the Doctor.  So far my fave character is Rory...and I could really care less whether Amy's pregnant or not at this point.  Go, Rory, I guess (and Sluts, I don't mean that in a sexual way...not that I can keep your minds out of the gutter at all  :c030a:).

Matt Smith is far too gargoyle for me and too young.  I don't see an old soul in a young body.  I see a fetus wearing an:coolcarrot: old man's clothes.  He quite reminds me of this carrot, hairstyle included.

I think river song either kills Amy or Dr Who in the future.

River Song must be some sort of time lord. I thought you may even be a reincarnated Rani. Well they brought back the master did they, so not bring back evil Rani.

Arrrrghhh, ye matey!  Not sure if I liked this episode all that much, was a harrowing moment at the end when it seemed like Rory had died for good. I like his character, I think he makes them a bit more grounded, glad he pulled through in the end.  And what's up with this positive/negative thing on Amy's maybe pregnancy?

An 18 year-old girl, sober, along with her prom date, also sober, was in a car accident last week. They were in a Volvo, which saved their lives. This lovely young girl sustained a broken arm in two places and her femur was broken in three places along with internal injuries. All of us who loved her rejoiced that she had survived. They told her she might never have children due to her internal injuries and she was fine with that. She told my brother, 'Uncle Will, I can always adopt.' What a courageous and wonderful person she's always been.

Last night in her hospital room she suffered a pulmonary embolism from a blood clot in her broken leg and she died. As it happens, none of the drunken teens in the car ahead of her or the drunken teens in the car behind her have died or are in hospital.

Kayla was going to college next year to be a special ed teacher. She was 5'10" in her stocking feet with blonde hair and green eyes. She had a twisted sense of humour and a serious love for my brother, Will, a double amputee. He's her godfather. Well, I guess he was her godfather. She loved to play baseball and volleyball and she was a strong swimmer. She was also a wonderful babysitter and the one parents called first when they had plans on the weekend. Kayla was the first newborn baby my brother ever held in his life. She was the light of our lives and the one her brother Kyle looked up to most.  He's lost now.

My friends, the Prom season is upon us. Please tell the teens in your family and of your acquaintance that you'll drive them if they can't afford a limo. Rent a limo for them if you can, so they don't drive themselves drunk. Do whatever you must so they don't wind up like Kayla. Do what you can so they don't have to live the rest of their lives with the knowledge that they killed an innocent girl for no good reason.

Kayla paid the price for other kids drinking and driving. Our hearts are broken forever.

Well who thought The Doctors Wife episode reminded you of the Lexx Movie Eatting Pattern.  Spare parts for the humans and the planet full of junk.  All that was missing was a little bit of PATTEN.

I really liked this episode, much better then last weeks one.
:TARDIS4:

I've seen a trailer for the next episode The Rebel Flesh and going by that it looks not that good but I'll have to wait and see.

Back to this weeks episode though.  I thought it was a brillant piece of writing.
Neil Gaiman who wrote this one is best known for writting for comic books but has done other stuff.  I do believe he wrote a episode of B5.  You can see he is a advid Dr Who fan by this episode.  Well I'll not say much more as some of you may not of still seen it yet.  It sucks when one is hours in front regarding time zones.

I really liked this episode as well, and do see the correlation with the garbage planet of Eating Pattern.

I liked the idea of the Tardis's soul coming alive in that woman and telling the Doctor how she felt and that she chose him for adventure and that she often leads him where he needs to be, not always where he wants to go.

It was very much reminiscent of Eating Pattern almost eerily so in mood, tone and plot as wellI kept expecting Rutger Hauser to leap out from somewhere wearing that clarinet thing on his nose.  It was extremely weird for an episode of Doctor Who.

From here on I have very different suspicions regarding the identity of River Song...

This was one of my favourite episodes EVER! (Neil Gaiman is bloody brilliant). Suranne Jones was a perfect choice and Matt outdid himself!!

Well peps what did you think of The Rebel Flesh?

Can't say I enjoyed this episode much.  Frankinstein comes to mind while watching this.  I suspect it's a new take on it.

Oh damn it's a two parter episode so have to wait until next week for the concluesion. The Almost People.

Interesting?  <yawn>  Now we know where the extra Doctor will come from who will be shot in the future.  All this to-ing and fro-ing is dull, dull, dull.  (I know how the Brunnen-G felt now.)

I still don't like Eleven.  Guess it isn't going to happen for me with this Doctor and I'm not going to fake it.

Almost people.  I missed abit at the beginning but basical this episode was very perdictable and only  until one reaches the end it starts getting better.  Best not say as I don't wish to spoil it for those of you that have yet to view it.

I would like to say however that the ended part really did remind me of Zev and growing up in a box.

Next weeks epside is entitled A good Man Goes to war and I've just viewed a small trailer on the bbc website.  It also says it's Prequal episdoe.

Interesting episode of 'The Almost People" one of the flesh turns into a monster and the other flesh people in the end become more human, very noble of the flesh Doctor to sacrifice himself in the end. And a HUGE suprise to find out Amy has been one of the Flesh for a very long time and is actually somewhere else about to give birth! So is she really the Mother of River Song? Hopefully we'll find out!

Sorry, can't remember out how to hide spoilers here.  Some assistance, please?  Or does anyone care?

Spoiler:River Song is the daughter of Amy and Rory.  Her real name is Melody Pond.  Pond = River, Melody = Song.  This much is fact from the episode that hasn't aired here but has been seen in Europe.

Speculation: Amy's travel in the TARDIS has had an effect upon her unborn child and there seems to have been some Time Lord influence upon River, how much we don't yet know.

I guess.  I'm willing but I've yet to warm to the Eleventh Doctor.  I don't bitch about it but it makes me a target at the Syfy DW board for some members.  Some say they see the Second Doctor in Matt Smith's performance, well, I didn't much care for Patrick Troughton, either.

River Song's a great delight to me and I love Rory.  He's the only person in NuWho who's not said 'It's bigger on the inside' upon his first visit inside the TARDIS.    My hero.  :147:Were it not for those two I doubt I'd still watch.  I practically have to bully Tiggy into watching these days.  We so enjoyed DW together in the past but no more.

I have to concur. I just can't get into the new Doctor. I want to, I try to, but... it's not happening. I don't dislike him, exactly, I'm more indifferent I suppose. I do dislike Ms. Pond, however. I like Rory and River Song, but Amy Pond just annoyes me.

Also, I find that I cannot forgive this new incarnation of the show for what they did to the Weeping Angels. They were wonderfully, amazingly creepy in the episode 'Blink' and that was totally ruined by how they were portrayed in the two early episodes with the new Doctor.

It's really hard to fill David Tennant's shoes, that's for sure.  Amy's character can get really annoying, I do like Rory and River Song as well, I'm glad they're bringing her character out more this season.

I actually really liked this episode.  I didn't think Amy fought enough the first time they were going to take her daughter away, I would think like any Mother, she'd be clawing at anyone that tried to grab her baby.  I liked how we found out she was Melody Pond and the Doctor immediately understood.  They'd be better off with her as the Doctor's companion than Amy Pond, but who knows what'll be in store next time, kind of a bummer it's on a summer break now.  River Song is actually making me look forward to the next episode.

From the instant she appeared, I adored Alex Kingston's character.  I've always loved her as an actress and she and David Tennant had amazing chemistry.  Unfortunately I've never thought that she had chemistry with Matt Smith...

I still don't get why Eleven was so immediately smitten when he realised River could read the Gallifreyan on his cot.  Was it because he now knows how she knew his name?  Big whoop, are we still never to know his name?  Grrr.

I remember in the library esisode with David Tennant, she said they had been married right? And that's how she knew his name. I think the new Doctor looks way to young for her and have absolutely no chemistry between them. I hope they do keep her character through out the series.

It's been so long now, I'm not certain she ever said those exact words.  We all made assumptions based upon her actions.

Matt Smith is never going to be a Doctor I love, unfortunately.  I wish it weren't so.  I've been accused of being proud of my dislike on Skiffy, can you believe it?  As if it's something I enjoy.  I have lost something I treasured...pleasure in a television series.  CE was such a joy to watch and DT literally had me at 'Hello.'  I'd hoped for the same thing with MS but I still haven't warmed to his iteration.  I find I'm already wondering when he will be departing...and who will be playing the part of Twelve?

Tiggy barely even watches DW these days.  We had such a good time in the past, watching live episodes together.  Now there is no television we enjoy.  :(  Doctor Who was the last series we liked.

On the other hand, I'm a huge fan of Rory.  From the subtext I believe he's going to die sometime and that he won't be resurrected.  I adore River.  However, I'm certain she won't appear in every season.  These characters are clearly for the chop for dramatic reasons.  I remember what happened to Reinette.  I suspect Rory and other characters will come to a sad end...  :cryingsmiley:

Is it me or is the present Dr Who series stories getting abit samey. I expect a lot of people knew River Song was in the space suit.

I watched Let's kill Hitler yesterday. It seemed a bit rushed and also well you knew what was going happened before it happened. But now we know why RS has the tardis blue book.

Tonight episode is Night Terrors.

Well I watched The Girl Who Waited and for those of you who don't like Amy Pond will not enjoy this episode. I did and do like her character. Her Rory is getting to be a much better character too.

The Gox Complex next week looks good.

it was sad her older self had to cease to exist. I got caught up on the last 3 eps, I didn't care much for the kid scared of monsters one, but the last one was good, as was the first one where River Song, kills then saves the Doctor and it's her beginning as River Song.

I've watch an hour ago now, The God Complex and it was quite good. So we now have two more episodes before Dr Who gets killed left.

Yeah I agre Angel the monster kid one was stupid.

It seems your a week behind us in the UK regarding Dr Who. I wish they would show them all at the same time, and one could discuss them in real sort of.

I liked this episode as well. When he dropped Rory and Amy off and went back to the Tardis he seemed kind of lost by himself.

This episode of Dr. Who was pretty good, I think little Alfie stole the show just for the cute baby factor.  I can't believe how fast this season has gone.  I really hate when they split up the season like that and next week is the finale already, it looks like a good one!

They showed the final episode here last night. It was really good, and the I liked how they brought this season full circle and that the Doctor found a way out of having to die, using the *little people* was brilliant, didn't see that coming.

Do you all like Matt Smith as The Doctor? I used to watch Doctor Who religously, but for some reason, Matt Smith just doesn't "connect" for me. I miss the show, but it hasn't felt the same for me for a while :(

It's really hard to top David Tennant as Doctor Who, next to Tom Baker, he was my favorite.  The new guy, Matt Smith is a bit more of an oddball character, but he's growing on me, just not as much as David Tennant did.

I was a bit upset that Christopher Eccleston only did the show for one season. I liked him a lot so it took me a while to warm up to David Tennant. But, a few episodes in and it was like, "David Tennant is THE Doctor!" Matt Smith not so much. He is just OK for me. And I do. not. like his companion. Rory is the only redeeming thing so far. I used to never miss an episode, but now I can take it or leave it.

Loved CE, Tennant literally had me at 'Hello.'  (Look it up, it was his first word as Ten.)  The only redeeming character now for me is Rory.  I've waited all this time to warm up to Matt Smith and it's not happening, now or ever.  When Rory's gone I don't know what reason I'll find to watch.  The next companion must be awesome...how will he/she ever equal Rory?

None of Eleven's adventures are on my shelves.  I've not spent a cent on any of them, why would I?  I could care less.  It's taken me all this time to overcome my disappointment that David Tennant didn't get to have any adventures with Alex Kingston.  That bit annoyed me for months.

Matt Smith's costume is ridiculous because his trousers are too short.  A man's socks should never be seen under any circumstances while he's wearing them.  Mankles are unattractive and should be forbidden by law.  <shudder>  Unsightly.:cryingsmiley:

PeridotEyes,

I could not agree with you more!

They desperately need to replace Matt Smith, but I wouldn't even begin to know who to replace him with... unless Christopher Eccleston or David Tenant wanted to come back, which they don't and wouldn't work anyway.

I really do miss that show and its frustrating to no longer be able to enjoy it do to bad casting. Arrrg.:u055a:

I miss the show, but it hasn't felt the same for me for a while :(Well with every actor they bring something different and I think Matt Smith's Dr is great but I do miss David Tennant as well.  Growing up in the 60's I do remember the original Dr Who.

I think why some people are missing the DT's Dr's is also due to the fact that the show has new writters and that Steven Moffit who wrote the original Angel story when Tennant did it is now having more input to the show as he's taken over from Russell T Davis.  I perfer Davis approach but I'm not saying I don't like Moffet approach to the show either.

I'm wondering my self that the recent Dr Who's are not up to statch or whether it's due to every story they can think of has been done.  I love the daleks but there can only be so many stories about them before one gets bored.

I think this is the reason why the BBC is going spilt the shows up and also due to costs, because it's not a cheap show to produce and make.

I love the odd ball thing in Smith's Dr.  He looks a bit strange but he can't help the way he looks.  I think he has captures Who brillently.

Matt captures a bit of the eccentricity of Patrick Troughton, my favourite doctor of all time, but with the steel core, which doesn't often show itself.

I was captivated in his first appearance, when his eyes went cold and he said "run"

I didn't even know it was going to be on last night until I was switching channels, saw a Dr. Who marathon was on and looked ahead and it said premier, so I taped it and watched it last night. It was a good spin on the Daleks and how one kept her humanity, I figured something was up and wasn't suprised to find out she was a dalek. But now that they have the Doctor erased from their memory banks, is he safe from them?

It was a pretty good ep, the Cyborg did remind me a bit of the borg, and the Alien Doctor a bit of a biovizier having experimented on his own people to create the ultimate soldier.

:TARDIS4:Well episode 5 was quite sad but stangley enough I did not cry but that might be becuase my boardbands gone like dail up and kept on stopping.  So I had to watch it in bits:(

Got to wait until Xmas time to see next episode or should say the Christmas Speacil which has the darlek lady in it.

I also got to watch behind the scenes and Steven Moffett said she will be explained, so that's something to look forward too.

I know some of you never liked Ammie Pond:cryingsmiley: but I really liked her from go and I'll miss her and the actress.

Matt Smith is doing a great job of playing Dr Who.

They did the ending so abruptly there wasn't much time to think anything other than "OH", they're gone. Too bad they did the break in the season so soon. I believe the Dalek girl is going to be the Doctor's next companion.

There was only one daughter that we knew off, she was that blonde girl, unless she can regenerate, but if she could, then why didn't she do it in front of them? The universe has something strange going on. I watched it tonight, I enjoyed it and it looks like they're going to have some fun adventures next season.

It's science fiction any thing can happen Angel. It could even be Captain Jacks daughter or Riversong and Dr Who's daughter.

This Xmas Special was all about regeneration and in the following episodes of 2013 will find out for sure who she is. But I tell you one thing going by the trailers I've seen on the BBC website, Matt Smiths Who's going be gob smacked when finds out.

I was surprized that the BBC wanted to resurrect Dr Who. I remember it from years ago. And the production style back then was low low budget. Sort of My Favorite Martian kind of thing. You had to stretch your imagination.

But when Christopher Eccleston chose to play the Doctor, The BBC had a winner.
In an interview Eccleston said his contract should have been for 2 years for the sake of the viewers not just 1.
He also said he was glad when his contract was over because shooting DR Who was brutal.
Eccleston and David Tennant were fantastic as
Dr Who.
Mat Smith came out promising. But the scripts were not great in my openion. The main writer went off to do Torchwood. And also Mat Smith lacks the facial expressions and nuances of the previous Doctors. It has been awhile and I still can't cozy up to Mat Smith.

So far I've really liked this season of Doctor Who, but now BBC America did a mid season finale and won't bring the rest back until November.  The Doctor found out how she got to be the 'impossible girl'.

The reason it's coming back in November is because that's when it was first broadcasted, November 26th but they are broadcasting on the 23rd. You probably know it's the 50 anniversary.

I wish they would show it now though.

I did not like What's the Dr's Name. I think this episode was over rated in my opinion. In case you've not seen it yet, I'll not spoil it.

The Cala story line is very weak. I don't really like her very much. Bring back Amy Pond or Pro Riversong. I love Riversong and the actress plays her so well.

Angel and anyone else interested the 50th Anniversary of Dr Who episode is going be shown in the UK, so I suspect it will be shown on BBC America at the same time, will be on the 23rd of November. I'm not sure if it were the 23rd or the 26th when it was first shown back in 1963. I was only 2 years old back then so my memory is a bit vague.

Here's the trailer for the 50th episode to be going on with, whether you've seen it already or not, it's worth a watch :-)

Wow! that trailer bring tears to my eyes. I am a great fan of Dr. Who. The show makes you feel you are going with him on his adventures. And this trailer is nostalgic, especially when you can remember the early Dr.'s. Kind of sad.

I don't know this actor at all, but he looks a bit old to be doing all that running, I read he's 55, I know the doctor's in the beginning were older, but I was hoping they'd at least keep him under 40.

Haven't seen Smith's performance yet... But I sure as hell ain't looking forward to him replacing Tennant. But then, I sure as hell wasn't looking forward to Tennant replacing Eccleston - and I warmed up to him pretty quickly, so who knows... I might end up liking Smith as well.

Capaldi will be an interesting change, I think.

Day of the Doctor has got to be the BEST Dr. Who episode to date! I loved that they brought back David Tennant, and even had a Cameo appearance by Tom Baker, they both played my favorite Doctors! They went all out with special effects in this special!

Call me thick, I'm thick. I don't get it. If Paul McGann's dr was the 8th dr and Christopher Eccleston was the 9th dr, who the f..k was John hurts one as one could see he went onto regenerate into the 9th dr. Other then that it was bloody good episode. Went in directions that I think it was. I'm really going miss Matt Smith when he goes and I don't think I'll be watching the next dr. There's just something about that actor that's taking over that I don't like. Every thing I've seen him in I don't like. He was in torchwood too, children of earth and I did not like him in that either.

It's only been a few eps since The End of Time, so I guess it might be too early to judge.
But I don't really like Smith.
I sure missed Eccleston for at least a season after Tennant took over (I still have a huge soft spot for the 9th Doctor), but Tennant never irritated me the way Smith does - and he had me within two or three eps. I missed the 9th but I also liked the 10th.

This feels different.
I actually find myself looking forward to the 12th.

The stories, ideas and the whole concept are just as appealing to me as the title character so I'm still enjoying the show but I do hope something will change my opinion about Smith.
I want to like the Doctor, I like liking the Doctor, disliking the Doctor doesn't feel right and I don't like it. :u055a:

Well I'm very sad, I've just watched Matt Smiths final time as the dr. The story line was a bit rushed and a bit crappy, not because he was leaving, it was just crappy.

I did like the bit where younger and older Amy Pond appeared.

Well so long Dr Who, I'm never going watch you again because I just can not stand the actor that has taken him over.

The only other actor I did not watch or like as Dr Who was Colin Baker not to be confused with Tom Baker and no they are not related.

Tom Baker was really good Dr Who.

My two favorite Doctor's were Tom Baker and David Tennant, and I was just getting used to Matt Smith and now he's gone. I agree that the Christmas special seemed a bit rushed and I saw the new Doctor at the end, and I think the series is going to lose fans, he just seemed old and dweebie.

Gettin used to the 11th. Good.
I might start to like him, actually. Even better. (He likes Prague... That helps a bit...)

Still looking forward to Capaldi, though. It's gonna be an interesting change, methinks.

For me it's got nothing to do with the newer actor taking of of been old, it's just I can't stand his type of acting.  I don't know whether it's him as  a person or just his acting or both.  It's really hard to explain.

I think die hard Whoivans are liking the newer one.  I read that a of them were glad he was taking over.  Like I mentioned above and was right that he was picked because he's done most of the things he's wanted to do regarding his acting career unlike Matt Smith who wish to explore other things and who could blame him.

So Peter is less likely to want to leave and like David Tennant he is a Dr who fan in real life, so it must be a dream come true for him, like it was for David Tennant.

So the new doctor might only be around for one season and will have a Scottish accent? I dunno if I'm going to like it.

The Scottish accent (and attitude) is absolutely awesome, actually.
And I sure hope Capaldi is gonna stay for a very long time because I love the 12th already.

I've also started listening to The Eighth Doctor Adventures and I'm SO loving The Eighth... Huge pity McGann didn't really get a chance to shine in the TV series.

Love him.
This one is *properly* mad...:-)
:heartbeat:

...
Capaldi actually reminds me of Tennant quite a lot at moments, I imagine 12th is what 10th might have been like if he'd got a chance to properly age before regenerating...

I've watched all of the new episodes so far, but I just can't get past not liking him as the Doctor, I don't know if it's his acting or the writing. The dynamic between him and Clara has changed so much, it's more like he's the naughty boy and she's the scolding mother. Peter Capaldi is a good actor, I've seen him in a couple of other roles, but I just don't like him as the Doctor.

I like him a lot more than Smith. But then, I knew I would.
As for the changed dynamic between him and Clara - can't say I miss the flirtatious overtones.

SOON!

Can't wait! Been quite intensely lookin' forward to this since summer. Doctor! Molly! (I love Molly, y'know...) LIV! (Liv Chenka is now officially a companion and I think that's absolutely fantastic.)

Find myself wishing the 8th a very long audio life (and a web series or a miniseries or at least a couple more minisodes AND a multi-Doctor ep with Capaldi) because I'm really addicted.

Also...
Peter Capaldi is so very many levels of awesome... (And yes, I absolutely dig him as the Doctor... More with every episode.)

That was a spectacular finale! I think Clara is my favorite companion out of all of them.

Frankly, I've never cared much for Clara "superspecial supersnowflake" Oswald. She's got more interesting in season 8 - but... Nah. Not my fave companion. I don't hate her but I really won't mourn when she leaves the show - I've been spoilt by Donna Noble, Wilf, Jack - and Big Finish companions.
The finale - which I haven't watched yet - might change that, we'll see. But I doubt it.

I *was* going to watch that finale last week but then Dark Eyes 3 finally came out and - well - I've got my priorities...:-) (It absolutely marvellous, by the way. I'm totally loving the whole series. And Liv Chenka. Now, THAT's a kick-ass companion...:-))

But back to the TV series - hope to watch the finale soon & looking forward to it. (I already know much of what's gonna happen, it's impossible to completely avoid spoilers.) Season 8 has been enjoyable so far (Moff's best, in my opinion).
And I hope Jamie Mathieson gets to write a lot ot DW eps in the future - the two written by him have been - so far - the highlights of this season for me.
