Oh my gawd!  This was one of the best seasons ever, so much more drama to this season than the previous ones.  I've finally seen all of season 3 and the ending is smashing!  It was as good as the ending of season one.  It's so hard to choose which eps were the best out of this series.  I really liked Blink and the family of blood and The sound of drums.  Interesting how sending the humans to Utopia ended with them turning out the way they did, when the professor was opening the orb, I thought perhaps it was evolved dalek technology and was surprised to see it was future humans who were looking for Utopia.  This season brought back an old nemesis, The Master, and he was brilliant!  I hope the new Dr. Who hangs around for awhile, I wasn't sure that I'd like David Tennant much, but he is a very, very good actor and does the role so well, adding much more emotion and drama to the series.  Am looking forward to the Christmas episode.

Oh cool. I'm glad you got to view them all. Yeah John Simms is also good actor and was right for the part of the Master. Well that is what is good about Dr Who, ever different actor brings something new to the part. The only actor I did not like was Colin Baker (Dr no 6), but all the rest of them were great.

Yes David Tennant is really good in this role. You should see him BBC version of Cassonova, it's excellant. You can watch that on Youtube btw. Serielised in three parts. Peter O' Toole played the older version to David Tennant's younger version.

Not wishing to hijack y'all's conversation, but...

Does anyone know of a good friendly active BBored or netclub that is specifically directed at Doctor Who?

You could try this link, I'm told it's very popular and has a huge amount of fans there.

http://www.gallifreyone.com/

If you have a MySpace account too, you could type in the groups part for Dr Who fans.

I'll try and find out some more for you if you like.  I've just found the below.

Thanks Dragonflygurl,

That's plenty of groups to start with. I appreciate your effort. I think I have a Myspace account somewhere but dont' use it. I mainly use my orkut and MSN spaces.

What are the Sarah Jane adventures going to be about? Do you have any way to tape them?

Alas, no.. (would you believe I can't set the video?  :blushsmiley2: )  The pilot episode of the Sarah Jane Adventures is on tv links, though. I expect they will repeat it in the evening sometime, as the fans won't let them get away with just an early evening showing, even though it's meant to be a kids' show.

I did try & post this link, but it didn't seem to come out, so I'll try again..

& I found a bit more...

Sarah Jane faces Doctor's enemies

Doctor Who may be taking some time off, but a few of The Doctor's old enemies are sticking around for a new series starring one of his old companions.
The Sarah Jane Adventures will see investigative journalist Sarah Jane Smith fighting aliens with the help of her 13-year-old neighbour, Maria.
Sarah Jane travelled with The Doctor in the 70s so she's used to seeing aliens but is she ready to face the Slitheen?
You can find out in the first two-part story of the series later this month.

In Revenge of the Slitheen, Sarah Jane's young friends Maria, Clyde and Luke realise all is not as it seems on their first day at their new school.

Elisabeth Sladen first starred as Sarah Jane in the 1970s series of Doctor WhoThey soon uncover the Slitheen's deadly plan, but together with Sarah Jane can they stop the evil aliens before it's too late?
Sarah Jane is played by Elisabeth Sladen, who first appeared as Sarah Jane in an old series of Doctor Who, about 30 years ago.
The actress first returned as the journalist in an episode of Doctor Who in 2006 but now she's got her own series she said she's looking forward to some "fantastic new adventures".

TV-Links is no more. It's been taken down. I posted about it in the Extra, read all about it thread, if your interested in knowing why.

I've seen one of these the other day, as my friends son records them. It looks good. Elisabeth Sladen does well for her age, I mean she don't seem to age much.

I saw her in the recent Dr. Who ep she was in from season two I think, or heck was it season one? She looked really good, she doesn't look her age at all.

Tomorrow afternoon on BBCAmerica they're re-running the S3 Doctor Who Christmas invasion episode. It's the one with the Runaway Bride. It comes on right before the Torchwood reruns of S1 and will repeat on Saturday night and Sunday. Check local listings for times:

They're running the trailer for S4 of Doctor Who on BBCAmerica this week, along with the Torchwood trailer for S2. The new seasons for both kick off in the US on the SAME DAY !! Jan. 26th is the start date for both shows, but they start about a week earlier in the UK. SET THOSE RECORDERS FOLKS !

Go to Youtuble and do a search for the new trailer, it's amazing !
