PART TWO: the Laws

Onto us, the Supreme Being, the Creator Primus, set forth these Laws that they should govern the Dark Zone Universe:

1. There shall be no rubber-faced aliens.
2. All creatures possess a sense of humour.
3. There is no Prime Directive.
4. There are no life forms more intelligent than humans, unless and until such a life form does the requisite script writing.
5. All planets worth landing-on have human (or reasonably close) life forms.
6. All humans (or reasonable facsimiles) speak the same language.
7. Humans must physically travel to other locations. There shall be no time travel because it has been done before, and done before, and done before, and done before...
8. Technology will rarely work as advertised.
9. No one shall ever defeat an enemy because they are good shots and the enemy are bad shots.
10. Stanley Tweedle shall never lose his hat.

The Creation of a Universe is a large undertaking even for Supreme Beings and their Gods. From time to time (figuratively speaking) questions of physics, chemistry and biology arise and trouble the minor Agents of Creation (such as the author).

The following physical laws appear to hold in the DZ Universe:

1. Artificial gravity in space vessels is presumed to exist. No one knows how it works.
2. Space craft will normally be propelled by particle accelerators powered by cold fusion reactors. The output will be a thin beam of relatively high mass particles conveniently emitting in the visible spectrum. The Lexx is driven by a particle accelerator that takes up most of its body.
3. Blackpaks, such as those used by the Guard Robots, work on the basis of a standard matter-antimatter annihilation. [NOTE: When Thodin blasts Kai to no effect in Lexx 1.0, Thodin says to the other rebel, "He must be de-carbonized!" This only shows what we always suspected, Thodin didn't finish High School. Carbon has nothing to do with it. Obviously, the reason the Blackpaks didnÆt work on Kai was the thin protective layer of antimatter surrounding him. Don't ask me how it works, I didn't finish High School either.]
4. Clusterian technology, ripped off from the Brunnen-G, is based the genetic engineering of the insect genome. Mechanical bits & pieces are added later to make the bio-engineered 'chassis' functional.
5. The Conservation of Mass and Energy will apply throughout the DZ Universe, exceptions will occasionally be made for comic necessity.[Cit: Gigerotta's tongue in Lexx 2.0.]
6. Neural tissue is tougher than we had been led to believe, much tougher.
7. All the glowing, swirling stuff is created by the Wizards of Post and not subject to any law whatsoever.

Maya, these rules are very important to all.  They are nearly impossible to read in this color on this background, though.    Is it possible to make them more legible, perhaps?

Ok, I changed it to Red, because I'm using the black background and the darker colors won't show up, so maybe this will work for all colors...:prop:

Outstanding, now they are wonderfully legible and don't suck my eyeballs out of my head when I try to read them!:3_3_6:
