Ya gotta admit Bilbo, the episode was worth it (for you guys anyways), just for Xenia to be in that little tiny skirt in the Egyptian costume.....albiet she generally wore one through the whole series, so maybe not....

To quote Bilbo:

"Kai—who has set about wandering what I’ve just about decided is one of only two hallways in an enormous, multi-storey hotel and entertainment venue "

You noticed that too huh?  That's about the only thing I really remember about that ep, same stair well, same hall way.  I guess there wasn't enough money in the budget to splurge for the MGM Grand or Wynn stairwells.

Despite it not being the best episode of the season, your reviews always make me laugh (not at you....okay maybe a little).

I was kind of wondering myself how Kai and Xev could find service hallways but not the buffet or the slot machines? I mean come on there are slot machines all over the hotels.  I have to admit they should have picked Caesars to poke fun at.

Would have been the perfect opportunity to get MM back in that little blue dress!

That's called Priapism, IIRC.    Been continuing through Richard Boone's body of work.  Not only was he a great actor, he also had a great ass.  I'd love to borrow the Doctor's TARDIS and take the opportunity to travel back in time and bite it.  <sigh>  :TARDIS4:  That'd be a fun trip.  :BULLWHIP:

Oops.  I said that aloud, didn't I?  LOL.

Hey Bilbo! I haven't been around much on any LEXX site for some time now.  I can't even say I have been much of a lurker.   I have been checking out some of your Lexx episode reviews. Pretty cool stuff I must say. I have been reading your Viva Lexx Vegas review over on SyFy.   I absolutely loved the idea of Xev meeting Zev at the sci-fi convention! An excellent idea that was really missed the beans.  I agree that they missed out on the the whole convention opportunity. One thing I did notice which I just have to bring up. You mentioned the old Lexx Bar and asked about if people thought after 8 years if it might be to soon to ask for your toothbrush back from Outcast1. I thought it was wild to see my handle brought up after all this time since I have been basically nonexistent. May I ask what meant by the comment though? I can be a bit dense sometimes, but I really don't get it. Can you expand?  I can sympathize with the whole back, spine, joint, injury thing.  I have degenerative spinal arthritis in 3 of my vertebra and disk issues in between those.  I also have rib problems where they attach, or are suppose to attach, to my spine.  Ah,  some days the pain is exquisite.  It is great to see that LEXX still lives somewhere.  I should poke my head back in more often.

Until the LEXX blows us all to kingdom come, this is your humble servant, Outcast1 (Wow! I haven't typed THAT in a long time....)

Well, now.   Since we're speaking about real life, my beautiful Outback station wagon was hit by a stupid bitch from Georgia Sept '09.  There I was minding my own business at a red traffic light.  She was traveling 50 MPH and I was sitting still as she hit me in the right rear quarter panel and broke my back.

I can get behind the degenerating spine issues and the arthritis.  I've lost some height and I'm royally pissed off about that, too.  My broken vertebra will never heal.

Here's the stupid shit that she said when she got out of her car, verbatim:

'Look what you did to my car.'

'I wasn't going that fast when I hit you.'

'My car is brand new, I've only had it a week!'

'I didn't hit you that hard.'

I lost my job because I couldn't carry my presentation briefcase anymore to client visits.  She hit me hard enough.

I got a settlement, it wasn't generous.  My back will never mend.  $25K in therapy used up most of the funds.  Still hurts.

I'm still out of work.  I loved that job, best I ever had.  I set my own hours and I was in line to be the Executive Trainer on the ground floor for the new office.

Damn her to hell and back, the stupid bitch.

'Look what you did to my car' indeed.  Y'all know what kind of temper I have.  :u055a:  I lay there with the cervical collar on lying on that backboard biting my tongue because she was old.

She hit me so hard I couldn't even remember my phone number.  I had to call my sister and have her call Tiggy.  Took me 2 days before the memory came back.

Fuck.  Sure would be nice to sit and have cocktails with y'all right about now.

Tiggy's been ill for 6 months, too.  Quite ill.  :(   Don't really know what's wrong, we're treating for food poisoning.  He's had 2 series of X-Rays, a CT scan with contrast, a colonoscopy, three series of bloodwork and his very own personal gastroenterologist...still he's vomiting and having diarrhea.  He's on a $1500 antibiotic and I'm he's not really better.  It's worrisome.  He's lost 25 lbs.  At 6'1" he's looking kind of bad.

Blazer's bitching about the medical bills.  I'm beginning to wish him carrot probes and cluster lizards...

Just a half-baked, off-the-cuff reference to Bboard-era Bilbo's gullibility/bizarre betting habits (I'll give ya 3-to-1 odds that I've since kicked one of them!)  Speaking of which, didn't you and the locals tie me up and leave me at the Lexxbar for about a week once?

Sorry to hear about the rough go you've been having physically.  Something sudden, or old wear-and-tear rearing its ugly head?  I'm sure I've got some of that to look forward to down the line.  Ever since my football career culminated in a phone that sat and collected dust on draft day (who'da thunk the market for 5'8" 230lb linemen would have dried up fifty years ago?) I've cast my lot with strength sports, most recently, strongman competition (i.e., those guys you occasionally see on ESPN when you're channel surfing...at a much smaller weight class of course!)  I'm sure there'll be all kinds of fun, exciting hell to pay for that, provided goat ligaments don't suddenly become impulse buy items.

Hope to see more of you here in the future.  More than a few of the regulars from the old Scifi board call it home (by "home," I of course mean state mandated psychiatric lockdown...the food alone makes it all worth it).

Now then, a couple quick questions:

Dude, is that your dog?

Seriously dude, is that your dog?!

Dang PE! I'm sorry to hear of the terrible pain you've gone through and now this mysterious illness with Tiggy. I hope they can finally figure out what's happening. I think a carrot probe would be too good for Blazer...

Wow PE!  I am so sorry to hear that!  People just suck sometimes!  My problems seems so small compared to yours.

As for Bilbo....   My back problems are from time and abuse.  Nothing that specific.  I was in the Army for 5 years and threw myself out of perfectly good airplanes the whole time.  I also, since I have been out, have been working a very physically strenuous job for almost 2 decades now.  I developed degenerative spinal arthritis in 3 of my vertebra, the 2 disks in between were almost shot.  This gave me severe, debilitating sciatica up and down my right leg.  I tried several different things to treat it and was completely unsuccessful.  As my wife is Chinese she talked me into trying acupuncture.  I have a terrible phobia about needles, but the pain was so great I tried it anyway and actually it did help in the pain control department.  Who would have thunk?  But that doesn't actually fix the back.  I also had 2 ribs on the left side that liked to separate from my spine once in a while.  My doctor told me if I don't have surgery I will most likely be paralyzed within 2 years.  My wife said there is no way we are letting them cut open my back.  One slip and it is over.  She found me a physical therapist who is very specific in the body parts they work on.  I went in and did extensive physical therapy and spinal decompression for 3 months.  NO drugs, NO cutting....  Did it work?  Let's put it this way....  My wife is the best and I love her even more now then when we met.  The doctor is a saint and I sing his praises every chance I get.  (Hence this shout out).  He was able to get me back to about 85%.  I am still in some level of low grade pain everyday and he told me I would have my bad days once in a while which I do, but overall he worked miracles and I still say thank you to his t.v. commercial every time it comes on the air.  The original doctor gave me 2 years and it has now been over 7 and still going sort of strong.  I have to stretch my back and do regular work outs to keep it strong the rest of my life, but I am of course fine with that.

Maybe this is something you could look into PE?  Do a local search in your area on VAX-D Physical Therapy.

AND yes, that is my dog.  Or at least WAS my dog.  We lost her 2 years ago to a tumor in her belly.  She was about 15 years old.  And yes, she does actually like 790.  I have several pictures of her either sitting beside him or the occasional hug as shown here.  I don't get it, but there you have it.  We got a new dog shortly after this ones passing, but I haven't formally introduced the two of them as of yet.  Puppies always chew on things as I am sure you know.  I don't think 790 would stand a chance.  I might try to get a picture or two with them together later on.  Or maybe a video for youtube.

Oh, and no, I was not involved in the pranksters who tied you up for a week at the LEXX bar.  I WAS the guy who took your picture tied up there and brought back the blown up poster a few weeks later so all the bar patrons could play a rousing game of what I liked to call "pin the tail on the Bilbo".  Ah memories.....  Those were the days.

Ah yes, I remember now.  I tried to explain to y'all that where I come from, we don't play that game with actual pins, but it was nigh impossible to get my point across with that radio-controlled, talking 790 ball gag in my mouth at the time.

Fun times.

Lest you wonder, after a few days I eventually managed to put my 3 1/2 weeks of Yoga training to use and chew through my restraints.  Developed quite the taste for rope during that ordeal.  To this day I still sprinkle ground up pieces of it on everything from salads, to ice cream, to coffee.  I tell kids all about it when they ask me what they need to do to grow up big and strong.

Well, they don't exactly word it that way.  What they generally say is "Why are you like that?"  I assume that's what they're talking about.
