Kai was really not a character that offered much flexibility to the actor playing the role, but MM really gets into it and takes full advantage the opportunity presented here. He's like a hyperactive child with attention deficit, what used to be known as a typical rambunctious boy with a normal level of energy. Xev even talks to him in a condescending 'motherly' tone.

Stan and Xev are left to deal with a crisis on their own, but once again they get saved by someone else when Lyekka rides to the rescue.

There should be a T-shirt of him smiling after he pushed the zombies off the cliff and on the bottom saying what you just said Kai on crack. It be a funny shirt don't you think? MM made Kai come to "live" when he was able to take the opportunity like you said. I enjoyed seening Kai as a big adorable kid having innocent fun as long as he didn't push me of a cliff. Oh, yeah Lyekka came and helped save them after she eat I do not know how i frogot about her. But I am not to stressed I am sick and slipped my mind lol The Game is on my list. Number 4 on my top picks which I'll get to it that one will be a bit tricky to blog on. For me at list so I will do my best on it once it come around :)

You've got to love it.

We all know those B movie horror rules which made it fun to watch and the ending was great. I learned that the dead can not be messed with when they are sleeping and wake up on the wrong side of the bed type thing with out there been Dari consciences. The point in the story respect the dead and you elders and no one would have died.

to Be_you_ I get you know yes it was nice to see how close the crew has gotten even Kai cares for the disfuntional family. I am proud of Stan on this episode he grew up some and did a selfless thing for once. But later on Fire he lost the fight on the good deeds him staying on a good path was short lived :/ But for this momment I was cheering him on like crazy.

True, Stan sacrificed his moral compass in his desire for May's tender touch early in Season 3, but nonetheless, I think he got a bit of a raw deal later in The Beach: while his attempt to destroy Water in May was brought up, I don't remember his subsequent refusal in Tunnels to help Prince by destroying same. Correct me if I'm wrong anybody.

This one was very hard for me I seem unable to find a correct way of explaining it. But I'll try to share the bit of knowledge I got out of it the best way I can.

Nook Episode 10 Season 2
The planet Nook is a primitive planet by choice of the priest's that live there. They rather have a simple uncomplicated and unchanged way of life. Which is why the founders of Nook created the utopia to only be a men's world. On Nook they have eliminated any female prescience and in there history completely. till Xev showed up and turned their world upside down. None of the brothers had ever hear of a woman. So to them Xev was a funny yet interesting "man" they seemed to be attracted to. Kai noted that they do not know or understand what a woman is. No matter how many times he tired to explain the difference between a man and a woman. To no avail they were still calling Xev "brother" and half of the priest's were lusting over her. This was the first change that seemed to take place on Nook. Kai finds out that they are very advanced and have a lot of knowledge. But the only knowledge they care for the one that comes from "Father Nook" and that of the land. For example they have infinite amount of knowledge when it comes to farming and nature. "All the other Knowledge leads to unhappiness" as brother Rador told Kai.(not sure on the names or how to spell them) So their solution is simple they have created a library for this "Bad Knowledge". What I understood to be bad Knowledge was anything that can bring change to their way of life and corrupt them. So instead they focus's all their efforts to farming and nature that's what the call Father Nook. But Kai is even more determined to get to the bottom of why there are no women on the planet. why is it that the brothers never seen or been told what a woman was. But Kai ask Brother Ranor were was his mother the one to give birth to him? He answered "I do not know of this" and walked way. Leaving Kai doing some thinking in trying to solve this unnatural way of life. Meaning how did they come to be with out a woman giving them life. Later we learn they grow an new brother from cells they brought with them from the landing. Even though they don not want "bad knowledge" they have to use it in this case so the can exits a bit ironic. So instead of a woman to give them life they are now grown by Father Nook. Since they have gotten ride of any female trait they have replaced "Mother Nature" by calling her Father Nook. The longer Xev's prescience's there the more desperate Brother Rador gets trying to find away to get ride of them. He give Kai a form of a "ruffy" that shuts him down for a short time. Which Kai looked so cute "asleep" I will might add also hecka funny to see him pass out. At this moment Brother Ranor takes Kai's brace which he uses to kill Brother Traigor (poor Brother T hoping To meet up with Stan in front of the gate). Stan makes to much noise an his way over to Brother T and running back after finding the body waking up other witnesses. They bring the body of their dead brother and he tells them Stan killed their brother. To them it made since some of them saw him outside on his way to meet up with Brother T. This point Brother Ranor's reactions give him away as been tainted by the "Bad Knowledge". He explained that Brother Stan commented "murder" and should be punished so they can have "justice" for their dead brother. Then he pointed out if it wasn't Stan it could have been Kai he once had been an "Assassin" one who kills for another person. Then he looked at Xev and used the correct term he said "her" as he said she had part of it as well. Then he went as far as wanting to cancel the celebration which showed how much he knew. Which was stopped and he was told he had to give his post to another Brother. Also pointed out if they cancel the summer solstice would  mean"changing" their way of life. Something the were frobiden to do once again ironic. The did not see that the moment Xev set foot on Nook their way of life had already changed.  So Brother Ranor went to a hidden compartment that he knew of from the "bad knowledge". We find out how advanced they were. They had this liquid that was use to blow themselves up and the planet when the sun hit. Brother Ranor toke some of this stuff and put it in the honey wine for the Brother's to drink. Lucky for use Stan didn't drink any he was moping he didn't trick Xev into doing him. Xev gets her wish she is no longer "pure" so she was busy and was not outside when the wine was been shared. Kai finds out the plan Brother Ranor had in mind and goes after him in hopes he could stop him but it was to late. He tells Kai that the he hunger for the "bad knowledge" it was his weakness but in the end his power. Proving knowledge was dangerous when miss used and in the wrong hands. Here at this moment Kai learns why there are no women on the planet. There was a group of men who thought if they got ride of women they would eliminate the "never ending conflict that is brought forth by the complications of procreation" something like that give or take. The viewed women as unstable change that complicated so they left them behind. So Nook free from the evil woman and the unwanted complications that came with them thus they created a "utopia". But then he added all things must come to an end one way or another their way of life would have ended. Kai seemed almost crushed when Xev told him she did it and liked it he looked at away if he could cry I think he would have shade a tear or two. I think there might be more depth to this episode but this is what I seemed to understand best from it.

I agreeing to his reason why he should blow up water, but it also turned out to be the thing that did him in as well. But as the list of his so called "good deeds" went on Prince said they were not enough because he copied Zev's actions to save Kai from his shadow. Or he would start out on a good choice then would back out if it wasn't convent to him. Like 791 Xev's told Stan they found people who needed help then he asked if there were any women? Xev seemed shocked by this annd sked did it matter? he said to her yes it did. So she said there was one and he asked if she was pretty as if saying if she isn't then don't bother. This actions end up counting against him on the beach. Sadly he always got to lazy to do the right thing ans see to it till the end but he did started out strong I'll give him that.

Patches In The Sky Episode 13 Season 2
This episode had the Freddy Krueger element to it which was super cool. Only in this case Giggerota replaced Freddy which both are pretty scary if you ask me. Like in Freddy Krueger he kills his victims in their nightmares by using their fear against them. Just like Giggerota is using Stan's fears to try and kill him. This robot told Stan about this machine that puts you in your dream and you get to experience it in real life. He told him this in hopes his planet wouldn't be blown up. But it was an epic fail LEXX is dumb he did not know the word "cancel". It was an accident that Stan was at fault for thinking LEXX was smart and understood his command. So they go of to this guy and Stan goes into his sweet nightmares. The guy who was running the thing was high as a kite. Since "fruit cake" told him about the patches in the sky. Finds out his section was next on the list and he knew he was going to die. With that knowledge he let Stan ride for free. In his nightmare Giggerota list of his fears which are the unknown, death, and to face his sins. We also learn he has guilt from blowing up plants and also giving the codes way that lead to 94 plants dist ructions. Once Kai with the help help of 790 pulled Xev and Stan out of the dangerous of the dream world. Kai seemed the most shocked on on Stan's epiphany and that he got something positive on this negative situation something Stan doesn't normally do. I was really proud to see him turn this negative into a positive. I liked what he tells Xev and Kai about him not wanting to blow up anymore planets. also he wants to live every minute to it's fullest. Only sadly the whole blowing up planets was short lived but hey he still acknowledged his fears.

This one was pretty self explanatory very easy episode to follow and not to complicated. I wrote the main points in the plot or what I thought was important :D

Woz Episode 14 Season 2

This one was a trip we learn love slaves have expiration dates. If that wasn't a shock enough we learn Xev's time was almost up. That's when 790 tells them they should go to Woz to save Xev. So they go the planet which is also known for it's violent storms. So visibility is terrible and when they land the moth the crushed a woman on a mission. They go the direction they amuse she came. To see if anyone can help them also share the bad news of the woman's death. That's when they meet the Wizard he how tells is able to save Xev. If Kai agrees to kill The Dark Lady he claims she is evil. He clams that The Dark Lady promises girls beauty and gives them 7 day expiration dates and sells them in the love slave market. Then the Wiz tells them he made a make shift Lusticon he can use. That it's base on the basic principles of the one TDL use on her victims. But there is a catch he makes Kai agree to kill T.D.L. and in return he will save Xev so naturally Kai agrees to the terms. Only because he doesn't Xev to die so off he goes Stan tags along with him. After they leave The Wiz. Xev turns into he original self and he tells her to make peace with her true beauty. While she is forced to watch this very annoying video with fruits and stuff just weird. 790 was with Xev he cold not do anything since he is only a poor robot head. At this time Kai and Stan make it to The Dark Lady's tower. After getting past the deference's (which we find out soon after he had cleared the way for the Wizard). He reaches T.D.L. Kai seemed to hesitated once he started to have a  conversation with her. Not a normal Kai thing to do with the enemy he is armed and dangerous he normally cares out the kill order no questions asked. He normally not one to stop and ask questions to his 'assignment' and moves on. I thought he seemed conflicted he said this "Before I kill you would you remove your covering(as he looks away to his side then back at her) I like to face my victim's openly."  He seemed to be "expressing" insecurity to this agreement by the manner he delivered the request. As she "Why do you want to kill me?" I was surprised by his answer because the dead do not have wants. But he used the words " I do not want to kill you" then he tells her " I will regret your death death". something else the dead do not do he seemed "alive" here and struggling with his "moral" compass. She tells him not to kill her because "she is a good person". But we all know he has killed all kinds of people and in the mix have been the good. Then some more words are exchanged and then the Wiz comes in the picture and is disappointed when he see T.D.L. still alive. He tell kai this as he enters the room " For a dead man he was behaving like a man with romantic notions". More proof to me that Kai was acting as if he was "alive".  Then we learn why the Wiz hates T.D.L.  while they are having their beef the Wiz blames her for getting dumped by his gal after she made her beautiful. While this is going on Kai gets the part needed to save Xev. Stan had gotten into a tempurary pickle himself by the love slaves. They were about to have some fun with him when the "Sisters" show up. They have a shot out and all they girls die and some how miss Stan in the process haha. Kai made it with only seconds before the Wiz blow up himself and T.D.L's tower. Stan was already outside after the girls killed each other he had found his way out of the tower. Then Kai and Stan make it back to save Xev 790 gave her the max 79 years. They are all happy then something weird happened. Xev goes to kiss Kai and he mets her half way and pecks back lol. Then his reaction to Stan when he asked if any love slaves made it out alive was priceless. The way he shock his head no at him. He seemed to struggle holding back on what he really wanted tell Stan. I had a feeling it wasn't going to be anything nice he would have toll him "How can you be so self fish on your sexual needs when we should rejoice that Xev is alive". So this was Woz Xev seemed like she won over some of kai's warmer side for once instead of the normal reaction of dead man cold shoulder and harsh reactions or smart Alec remarks.  Once again the safety of their dysfunctional family was successful thanks to Kai saving the day.

Brigadoom Episode 17 Season 2

So the LEXX and the crew are making a run to reach the center of the universe.
Trying to escape the wrath of Mantrid's destructive agenda he had planned for them.
At one point LEXX passes through this a very bumpy strange cloud that seems very randomly located. If that wasn't weird enough a floating building that appears out of thin air. Lexx asked Stan if he could eat the this object that just appired he wants a "tasty snack".
As Stan ok's the request Xev enters the bridge when she hear "yo a o" she tells Stan to stop LEXX and listen.
He stopped LEXX in time from eating the "tasty snack" so Xev and Stan are waiting to see if anything will happen when Kai joins them and they all hear his song again.
So it's only natural that Xev pails them all in a moth and go check out who is singing. As they get closer to the floating building they hear the whole version of the Brunnen G fight song.
Kai looks so emotional as they get closer his seemed to get teary eyed by hearing a group of people sing.
He has song as lone ranger for 2,000 years and hearing a large group of people singing his fight song would move anyone even the dead.
Stan is been a party pooper telling them they should turn around and go back to the LEXX and keep going on trying to make it to the center of the universe.
But Xev is flying the moth and does the opposite thing to Stan's request we know it's her urge to explore. So they enter the building were Xev lands the moth near the stage they get out and look around they see old props and Musical instruments.
This is when Kai tells them this building is a theater this is something new to Xev and Stan they have never hear of such thing.

"KAI: It appears to be a theatre
XEV: Theatre? What's that?
KAI: Where people come to see actors engage in live dramatic performances
STAN: What?
KAI: Theatre is a medium for communal story telling, Stanley, for exploring myth. It is a place of cultural and intellectual enrichment
STAN: Oh, that sounds really exciting. Wow"
Kai seemed to be very aggravated by Stan I don't blame Kai he was on a mission wanted to see were the singing came from. Then this event goes down and find out who is singing and why.

(Xev uncovers a harp and touches the strings. Stan knocks a tambourine and it rolls across the floor. The stage lights come on. The props vanish, and actors appear on the stage and start to sing)

Once the actors appear on the stage Xev points out that they are dress and look like they Brunnen G. Which make this even more interesting we all know they are all dead and Kai is the last one. As they are puzzled to what is going on the group sing this little number we come to learn they are singing about Brunnis 2 Kai's home planet.

" Closed behind our mighty shield
Beyond which none can fly
This world is safe from pain and strife
We need not fear the sky
We have not fought for countless years
We have no need to cry
War and death are forgotten fears
For here we never die.
We've closed our eyes, and shut our ears
We must never never try
To break the bonds of this lonely sphere
Or we will surely die"

We learn by this intro what extreme measures the Brunnen G toke to isolating themselves from the world.
Not just that they had also freed themselves and their planet from pain, war, and any other kind of violence and did not fear from harm coming their way.
They would never die I thought they would no longer have to worry about been attacked and killed of by enemies. I later learn they meant they had found immortality so they no longer have to die. They also had no more fear of been attacked since they had their shield to protect them. Nothing would come and dist rube their safe heaven they had created by having their protective bubble surrounding them.
So they see no evil hear no evil they do no evil by out of the chaos and pointless fighting going on outside. As the shield protected them by not letting anyone in I also think it also kept anyone from leaving.

Then the Stage Master appears and greats them and invites them to stay a while to hear a story. We learn this race of once romantic warriors lead mankind into victory in the great insect wars. After they abandon their dying planet and find a new home in the light universe. Where they got this idea to build this shield around their plant.
This is a story of Love, war, and courage, and the destruction of an entire planet and it's people. The story's main focus is that of a tragic hero who met his end with honor and found a noble way to die. he presented us with the the story of Kai the last of the Brunnen G. We see Kai was a man with ambition and dreams and the wanting life's great gifts he knew existed. He was the black sheep we come to learn he was one of this very small group of
they called "New Born's". They are the only truly young people and clashed views with the much older population. They wanted to see the world above ground we come to learn that's were they lived. But none of them matched Kai's strong wanting to be more, to see more, to find a propose of his life, to be greater and achieve things he can not do in his home planet. Later he is punished for his actions he takes when he leaves and learns the fate of his planet. But before Kai's punishment we come to learn how the Brunnen G find their immortality. By doing this they thought that this would make them gods but it did the opposite effect instated.
Made them afraid of "living" a productive life. So they moved under ground to be more safe from the dangers that would bring harm to their perfect ageless bodies. They had become a ghost of their former selfs this race of once proud worries had wilted into worthless, cowardly, and empty shells of there former selfs.  They let themselves be consumed by fear of anything that can bring them harm they became so scared that the site of their own shadow would frighten them.

"MC: The Brunnen G were a race of romantic warriors, forever famous for leading humankind to victory in the great Insect Wars.
Mankind survived, but the Brunnen G planet was dying, so in time they abandoned it for a new home in the Light Universe, but by then the Insect Wars had faded into a hazy past, and man was once again fighting against man.
The Brunnen G turned inward, building a great defensive shield around their planet.
Safe inside their sphere of silence, they directed their fertile minds against the oldest enemy of them all - death.
By manipulating their bodies innermost cell structure they unlocked the secret of never-ending life.
No Brunnen G would ever grow old again. They thought, by freeing their bodies of ageing, that they would become immortal gods at play - but, humans are not designed to live forever.
Their bodies did not age - but they became afraid of everything and anything, for partaking in any activity at all could threaten their precious and ageless bodies."

Then the S.M. asks Kai to join them for him to share his story in his own words in the expression of singing. Stan asks if he should do it Stan still not showing any int rest in this waist of time tells Kai no. But Xev wants to hear Kai sing so she says yes. So Kai makes his way to join the productions once he set foot on that stage his clothes changed into that very peacock bright colors all the Brunnen G wore. Lol, which have been a subject of discussion before and people have share their feeling about the rain bow that throw up on their clothing lmao. How Kai's costume was more blinded out then the other Brunnen G we saw on stage. How we seemed to be way over stimulated by how busy the colors made things. We also had to process the hairstyles  they were styling. That I had to re-watch the episode because I missed on the story. But once you pushed past it you can enjoy the singing of MM his stage performance and find your self riding out all kinds of emotions. On top of all this chaos lol I end up singing along to most of the songs and they get stuck in my head.  This is way it made it to my top picked episodes. It's not just one my list it landed on many other people's list as well you can go on and on about this episode hahaha. I will make it two parts I am still not done and sharing lol.

Ah, Brigadoom. One of my favourite episodes.
One thing it took me a little while to notice, and I thought it was pretty cool, was the fact that in this opening song they sing "We must never never try, to break the bonds of this lonely sphere, or we will surely die." and they were tragically correct.

so true they knew one day the would be doomed. I am sorry for repeating myself I'll fix it later but i think it's ok for the most part. Kai's story was already very sad as it was but after Brigadoom made his existences or none existence since he is dead even more tragic.

I loved the Woz because of one thought provoking exchange. When Kai says "I don't want to kill you."

It is very thought provoking. Kai was in essence like a part of HDS 'Special Forces' or 'black ops' unit. When these guys go in on assignments do they want to kill people? Probably not, they are following orders. In this case Kai is following 'orders'. He is doing it to save Xev's life. That just stuck out to me being from a military family and a Vet myself.

Brigadoom (AKA The Attack of the Rainbow Brites) I really like the plotline and the Brunnen G Backstory, but all that color is just too much.

When I watch that It's hard to reconcile this group of cowards scared of their own shadow with who they would have been back in the day. The idea of Brunnen G that you get from Kai is total opposite of what is portrayed in the theater. So for me that episode left a big mystery for me. What happened to so drastically change them as a people.

Brigadoom:

Abby, If I recall correctly, what changed the Brunnen-G was their victory over old age and death. Remember, they were so old that they didn't even remember among themselves who was parent and who was child. Kai was one of the rare true youngsters on the planet.

Woz:

What I liked the most about the episode was all the willingly converted sex slaves. And just as in the famous movie this episode was patterned after, the man behind the curtain was pulling strings and deceiving those who served him. All those poor ugly girls were convinced that the "evil lady" was preprogramming the love slaves to die within seven days. Too bad for Stan the way it worked out (forshadowing the shootout in Prime Ridge?) because I'm sure he would have enjoyed being 'raped' by six beauties at once.
