I noticed that Caprica was not on and found that it's been canceled mid-season... Not insect enough for most, and on at 5pm EST on a Tuesday, it was doomed I guess.

Anyway, it might be fun to send an apple to the wrestling channel:

I could have sworn they were advertising season finale last week, maybe it's just up for a hiatus? I see the reruns all the time...

What the frack? Once I got around to watching it, on Hulu, I thought it was pretty good, in concept. It started to go off topic a bit, which prob caused viewers to loose interest.

Much as I respect Jane Espenson, Caprica got way off target with all the stupid mafia terrorist crap, mother frackers. Its ok to introduce the concept, but it dominated the show to the point of boredom. Much like the original Battlestar Galactica, had a great start, then each subsequent show just milked the momementum. My pet peeve from BSG TOS was that girl at the com, with the Princess Leia hair buns, with only red light, like, did normal lightbulbs go out of fashion in the future, but only she gets the red light.

I met Richard Hatch a few times at TD06 and he was a rude asshole every time. Anyway, there is a pattern with all good shows, they start off interesting, then cut back and make up stupid filler stories. X Files did the same, but at least they always had some good characters and writing.

Unfortunately, stories like TSCC, Dollhouse, Caprica, have too much depth and people get bored, too bad, because they are good shows, but viewers need a stand alone episode, not be bothered with a story, like all the CSI shows are stand alone shows, but with interesting characters, Bones, etc.

SyFy changed its name for a reason....its not SciFi anymore, just shlock. You find better horror movies and scifi on the Lifetime channel now.

I've only watched the show a few times and could never really get into it, seemed kind of boring. I also watch Stargate Universe, but it's way too much drama into the personal lives of the cast, more like a weekly soap opera, I'd rather see more adventure on the planets, I don't know if that show is going to last much longer either.

It is rare that something comes up like BSG and Fringe that I find intricate and interesting that also has commercial success. Most things that I like are not liked by many people, e.g. Lexx.

I find Caprica very interesting. But, because Caprica is an explanation of the backstory of BSG, it could be almost anything and still hold my interest really.

I think that when I read or watch stories, I feel like part of the story instead of dispassionately observing it from the outside. I don't ignore the stuff that is boring in my experience.

To me, "action" is not engaging. I don't experience a car accident and go "wooo". A supposedly action packed scene just comes off as not articulated well.

Caprica is a great story and show, but as anyone who has watched the mother frackin show, it got off track. I would really like to see it get back on track and continue for many seasons.

Fringe is really cool, I have watched all of those. I recall Blair Brown in Altered States, she was hot.

In Fringe, Olivia gets to play herself, her alternate self, her alternate self playing her self, and her self playing her alternate self.....LOL...a role to make even Peter Sellars jealous.

Speaking of, Britt Ekland had a nice role in Prime Ridge.

Hi, Veyron. Capricatimes claims that syfy doesn't have the reason they gave for canceling:

http://www.capricatimes.com/what-syfy-isnt-telling-you-about-caprica

Caprica is the backstory to battlestar galactica... I don't follow what the target is for it to be off target from. Maybe the Taurans' issues led to a war between humans and cylons. Now we'll possibly never know.

I too Like both CAPRICA and FRINGE, (and I actually like the alternate Olivia from the parallel universe better, where the World Trade Center still decorates the NYC skyline, the Statue of Liberty is for some reason a brilliant copper color, and their US only seems to have 45 states (Texas has been split into 2 states?? -oh well no parallel universe is ever perfect)).

Anyways about poor old CAPRICA, check the SYFY Channel listing for Tuesday, January 4th. They cancelled CAPRICA with 5 episodes yet to air, and they will air all 5 remaining un-aired episodes in a marathon on Jan 4th back to back. And I read that the SYFY Channel will not even spend any money on advertising for this marathon. So if fans of the show don't check channel listings, they will only hear about the marathon via word of mouth.

I read that some cast members are bemoaning the fact that the show gets better in the 'Final 5', maybe even the best episodes of the series. (They will also be on the DVD set CAPRICA 1.5, just released on Christmas).

[Another series I wonder about is if SANCTUARY is going to hold out. I kinda like it for some reason. I watched the 'mid-season finale' a week or two ago when the lady who plays Sister Clarice in CAPRICA, electrocutes 4 of the main characters to death when they finally arrive in a hollow earth city, including Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping), which would be a hell of a way for that show to end in any cancellation.]
