I also watch TV on Hulu.  And it's my understanding that they do work to get the right to air the shows and movies they have through legitimate channels.  Many of the shows they have are not complete runs as is LEXX.

I do know that they work to get the full run of shows when they can.  I remember the same limited run then full run situation with another show I watched called Emergency, when I first started watching Hulu they only had the first season but later added more seasons.  I also think that they have a time span that the shows are available as I saw a notice that season one of Emergency would only be available until a certain date.

I recall some years back arguing with a young computer developer/ programmer in Boulder CO about streaming video and tv on demand, how i didnt believe it could be interesting. But depending on your connection speed, the quality is comparable to broadcast tv.

Not all shows are available right away, or entire series. Bones for example, shows the last 5 current episodes, plus 5 or so from season 1, adding a new one each week.

I watch V, Fringe, Flash Forward, 24, Lost, Bones, House, many shows this way. The selection is huge, but limited. Shows with huge popularity and demand, like XFiles, wont be there. Many other shows, like Angel or Buffy the Vampire Slayer, have rotating episodes available. Legend of the Seeker is available, but not Xena WP.

Hulu bet on some very expensive TV ads I think on SciFi channel, and it has paid off.

I have not bothered to try to save videos, its all streaming. A really funny show btw, is Dead Like Me, last time I looked it was complete and unedited.

Dead Like Me is one of my favorite shows.  I mean you have got to have issues when you get killed by a toilet seat from the space station!:bouncebig:

Sorry for the spoilers. Its up to the original, just that Mandy is no longer there. There is closure, and George has a moment with her sister. La boom bah!

I hope that they get The Game episode.  That is really the only episode that I have completely missed.

I'm guessing this is an oversight... I contacted Hulu Support and informed them it was missing, and someone else posted that it was missing in Hulu's Content Requests forum.  Maybe if we all bug Hulu about it enough, they just might fix it sooner rather than later :c030a: :u055a::bounce_pinka:

Thanks Abby1964!  You're awesome!!!    :2567:

I just got this email from Hulu:
"Hi,
Thanks for letting us know about the missing episode in our lineup. Individual episodes are sometimes held up due to rights issues, quite often related to music used in the show. We'll continue to request the episode from our content partner, but at this time it's not available for online streaming.
Thanks,
Ben
Hulu"

Well, I guess they're now as aware as they can be about the issue, and hopefully will be fixing it soon.  Hopefully it won't take too long! :smiley_056:

"The Game" is an awesome episode. I love how it's basically a chess tutorial. Does anyone know if it's based on a historical chess match?

By the way, "hi" everyone! I'm actually pretty new to Lexx. Came across it on some blog's list of best scifi tv shows and looked into it. It's like the anti-"Star Trek: the Next Generation."

Supposedly it is based on a match that took place in 1834.  I came across this review a while back, if you click around it actually lays out and follows all the moves made in both the original 1834 match and the Kai vs Prince match.

By the way, Welcome!
