Hi! since there isnt any kind of "hi, i'm new" subforum, I guess i'll just post here.
like a lot of people, I watched lexx years ago on british television, but only the odd episode here and there, and was all very confused about what was happening, but I loved it none the less. few weeks ago I decided to buy the dvd's from amazon and download what I couldn't find, and i've been watching it from start to finish!
I just finished watching the last episode, and i'm sad it's over  very sad.. i'm glad I found this forum which seems to be active, as others I have stumbled across seem to not have had any new posts for a few years now.
The last episode.. was very emotional and awesome  ! the baby lexx... so cute! I take it the baby lexx was born from the lexx having...intercourse somehow with that tiny dragonfly from earth that flew inside it a few episodes back?
It seems to me that the last episode was clearly 'set up' to allow for another series, film or some other continuation, since the lexx was 'reborn', 790 was saved and prince/priest/bunny etc were safely on that rocket ship, it just seems obvious to me that they set it up to allow for a new series or something, has anything ever been mentioned about this like "we wanted to do another series but couldn't because X, X,X" etc? (Sorry if these questions have been posted already but it would take me years to look through all the posts on here!)
another thing I wanted to ask about was, were Fire and Water 'invisible' to the people of earth? because, apparantly no such planets existed as far as earth knew, yet they were pretty close to earth, right? yet earth 'noticed' the destruction of venus and jupiter(I think those are the right planets?) and pluto.
what was that thing on prince's coat on the back, that he sometimes made stand up while on planet Fire? reminded me of that dinosaur which had a frill around it's neck.. can't recall the name right now.

| Hi Paradox. Paul Donovan ended the series the way he wanted to and that was the last of Lexx. Two of the actors did say in the past if the entity at the time that bought the show's rights, Alliance Atlantis, were interested in continuing anything, they were interested in reprising their roles. But it never got anywhere with them. Now the rights are owned by Can-West and nothing has happened there either. Lexx hasn't even re-runned for 3 years at least in the U.S. that I know of, not sure of other countries. At least in re-runs it may bring in new fans, or get old ones reinterested.

OooOOOo new meat and I'm hungry..welcome Paradox to a lively fun board where the only prequisites are have FUN, laugh loudly and share the wealth..
yeah most fans assumed that the baby Lexx was born because Lexx did the nasty with the dragonfly..how cute is that?
Last episode sad no? Quite a few tears were shed by Lexxians and still do cry as they re-watch that episode..anyhoo..questions? We've got answers and again WELCOME!

Agree about the finale. It was fantastic.
As for Fire and Water - if I remember correctly, the explanation was that they were on the same orbit as Earth, but on the other side of the Sun - so the view was "obscured". I may be wrong, it's been a long long time...:-)
If you are talking about the dinosaur from Jurassic Park, that was dilophosaurus. The frill was a creative licence, though...;)
As for Prince - seems to me like he's got that thing purely for the sake of effect. But it's definitely cool.

Welcome to the board Paradox. Season 3 was the first Lexx I'd ever seen. I got hung up on the series because of the unique and interesting characters and the sarcastic humor. It would have been nice if there was more Lexx after Yo Way Yo, but really, what else it there left to do after you've already destroyed the Light Universe and blown up the Earth  I'd just be happy to see the show back in reruns.

| I'm the proud owner of all of the lexx dvds which I accumulated about 2-3 years ago pretty cheaply I might add. I've been a devoted fan for about the past 10 years

I've been a fan of Lexx for quite some time. I started watching it when I was really young, and it was on Sci-fi at like.. ohh i dunno, like three in the morning.. I'd wake up and watch it, then go back to bed. Sometimes dad would catch me.. sometimes I'd be okay.
About three years ago, my beast friend and I decided we were going to purchase the DVDS. ^^^^ We've got one set, and they're all at his house.. but I helped us buy them!
Lexx is amazing, and I wish they'd make more episodes.
Oh! And, I'm new to the forum and I'm very excited.. because this is the first one that I've found to actually be active..  Hi everyone, I'm Suzi!

Hi all - here's more fresh food
Years ago, I stumbled upon a number of Lexx episodes on tv. Liked them, loved them - Lexx was definitely no run of the mill scifi series. Years later, on occasion, I'd think back of them and try to find more information, but by then I'd forgotten the name. A few weeks ago I finally found them again and I'm halfway season three now, and I've completely fallen for Lexx. The beautiful and resourceful environments, the steampunk gadgetry, the twisted scenarios with lots of satire, wit and innuendo, and mostly, the weird crew combination. It's rather brilliant to come up with a concoction of a dragonfly spacecraft, a smitten robot, a love slave cum cluster lizard, a dead assassin and an awkward and scared but very loyal captain who has a key in his hand... Never mind. I don't need to explain here. Just announcing myself.

| Hi, im new too. I first came across lexx when they were showing it on channel 5 a few years ago. I really loved it. It was so different from any science fiction id seen before. I eventually got around to getting all the episodes this year and after watching them all I can defintely say it's one my favourite programmes ever.

| Hi 790, Lexx has still stayed one of my favorite programs as well. I'm also love Dr. Who, but have never gotten involved with the fandom, but that is a long running series that I've always enjoyed.

| Hi Angel, Doctor Who is one of my favourite programmes too but only the old run of the series. Im not so keen on the recent new series. Ive got all of the old series on video or DVD, well the ones that still exist anyway. I got involved with the fandom to an extent, have been to a few conventions in the past but not recently.

Hi everyone. I'm new. I did'nt where the best place is to post, so I thought I would start here. I've been a Lexx fan since 2001. The show was special to me.I alway's hoped there would be a movie after it ended. The only other sci-fi show that I like almost as much, is Dr.Who.
