If you look at the description, someone did a LOT of collecting for that set. They had everything. All the box topper cards, all the large sketch cards, a full set of every official sketch cards, all the chrome and costume cards etc. I can see why it was so expensive. But 1K! Whew. Wonder who 'mysterytoys' is anyway.

The collection is missing two of the oversize sketch cards. There is a Kai and a Stan sketch. You can see samples in my sketch collection here (at the bottom of the page):

I would love to see the collection of 'mysterytoys.' If he/she could spend this much on the cards, who knows what they have bought for their Lexx collection.

Somebody actually paid the full amount for it on a buy it now. I'm shocked anyone would spend that much money for it.

Everybody knows from the old days I lost lyekka's purple outfit the last second on e-bay.  I do still have Louise's lyekka original script.

Something you guys might be interested is the TexxLexx wrap tape that Brian sent when we met back in about 2004.  It has the original pilot, some out takes, and various miscellania.  I'm pretty lazy about such things but could probably find time to copy it to DVD.

IN EXCHANGE:  would one of you techies out there know how to convert a region 2 vhs tape into something my region 1 self could use?  (I finally after years and years of looking found a copy of "Etosha: Land of Dry Water" but it's from South Africa)

Hi MOK,

Region encoding applies to DVDs. If you have a VHS tape from South Africa it is probably in the PAL format, and if you are in the US you probably have an NTSC format VCR. However some VCRs are dual format and will play both NTSC and PAL videos - it may be worth checking yours.

Bascially you are going to need a VCR which can play the PAL format, you then record this to a DVD or output to computer, and convert using VLC or similar. The conversion itself is not difficult, but if you have PAL VHS tapes and no PAL VCR you have a struggle. (And no, unfortunately you can't play the PAL tape on an NTSC VCR and record the output - it will be garbage). For just one tape it is probably easier and cheaper to take it to a service to do the conversion work.

Also you will almost certainly lose some quality in the conversion. As we are talking VHS tapes this may not be a big deal, but if you are a bit of a hi-fi nut this may be something to consider.

Hope that helps.

Many thx for that.....the seller said it was region 2 but then said VHS so I'm unsure....I don't really care.  Searched for that film for ages.  It helps that you mentioned there are some serviced that would do it for me :D

A professional video editing shop could do it for you probably for a reasonable fee - but they might say no due to copyright laws....

Thanks bro....i might have to slip a little something under the table (not that I would ever suggest violating copyrights - I just don't think south africa would care about a 20 year old documentary)
