I see I've managed to miss the first two episodes but I've been to view them on the following website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/torchwood/

When you think original Torchwood was an anagram for Dr Who the new series and it's series of its own.  Looks really good.

Yeah it does look good.  Plif is recording it for me and will send me a disc of the first eps once they've aired.

That's good Angel.  Well the bbc are showing them on digital channel right now, so perhaps they will show them on Analog tv soon, then I can get to see the first two I missed.

You should check out that link though it's really interesting.  Now I know why Captain Jack never really died after the daleks killed him, hum I can't rememeber the name of the eppy off the top of my head, but you know what I'm talking about.  It's abit creepy too.  I'm getting scared in my old age, lol.

The beeb are showing them at 10pm, so I hope come sunday I don't forget it's on.

Those last couple of eps of season one were very lexxish, they reminded me of end of the universe with the 790 heads battling the mantrid drone arms for the universe.  Captain Jack was meant to live, so he could star in torchwood.  :P

Captain Jack was meant to live to give me some fresh eye candy in the fall... by the way, BBC 2 has Torchwood on at 9pm, or maybe 10pm... I get confused. I'd have missed the first two eps if I hadn't caught them there on Wednesday night! I'm loving that it is clearly more adult orientated, and that he's got that luffly 1940's lookin' coat back heh heh

Oh, useless info, Captain Jack copped it in The Parting of the Ways, and was resurrected by Rose when she was Bad Wolfing it, aka 'possessed' by the vortex, so he did really die, she just had the power to change that and did, bless her little cotton socks. I love that bit... aaaaaaah, right up until he looked like a smacked puppy when the TARDIS dematerialized without him... There has been talk that Captain Jack will be be making more appearances at the end of series 3 of the new run. I read it in the mag.

Behold, I am a repository for pointless information... ^_^

Heck,

They've just started to show Season 2 of Dr. Who here in the States! :(

Now I have to wait another 2-3 years for Torchwood! :bigthink:

I watched eppy no4 last night Cyberwoman it was called.

Started off ok, in the middle got a bit wet but ended with sort of twist.  I've not made my mind up about this series yet.  Maybe after watching them all I might.

Cyberwoman?  So did she look at all like the Cybermen from Dr. Who?  Or was it sort of a take on that but with a different look?

No.  She was in between.  How can I say it without spoiling it for you and the rest that wish to see?

Just put it this way when I saw the trailer, I thought that's not  a true Cyberman as made differently.

I viewed the first two episodes on YouTube before they were pulled for "terms of use violations", and enjoyed them immensely. Probably won't get to see them here in the U.S., unless they air them on HBO or Showtime. The subject matter and language are probably too graphic for the good ol' heartland type folks.

Loved the Doctors hand in the jar!

I'm really enjoying Torchwood so far ^_^ I'm a little iffy about what they've done with Captain Jack, but other than that... he's the same guy I adored from Doctor Who mostly so its all good.

For the record... the hand in the jar creeps me out, I don't care who's hand it is! LOL
