Who cried watching the last Lexx.

:cryingsmiley:

Just finished watching the last lexx again after watching the whole series for the thrird time, and sure enough when Kai starts singing "Yo Way Yo" for the final time I just start gushing. I'm a blokie .... geordie word for (man) but not scared to show my emotions, well even if I was I've got no control over them for the final lexx. Started from the beginning again and know once again in few months to come I'll be gushing all over again. :cryingsmiley:

I had tears in my eyes watching the last ep on the sci fi station 4 years ago.  The realization, that this was the last of lexx forever.  The irony of Kai becoming alive only to die again, his ironic laugh at the end, Xev and Kai singing Yo way Yo, their kiss... and the death of Lexx, all of it brought tears to my eyes.  I've only seen the ep one time since then, and I will soon see it again when I cap it. :cryingsmiley::0-02::lexxicon::eek:

Every bloody time - and the first time I saw it (when I didn't know it was the end or what was going to happen) I sobbed my heart out - & went into a depression for weeks   :cryingsmiley:

I cried, too... Surprisingly though, it was the big bug's death, not Kai's, that made me cry... There was something terribly sad and touching about how good old Lexx just -- passed away...

Like a baby........

The most touching scene for me was the goodbye scene....oh yeah....the actors too had to gulp a few times when they shot it....you can see it in MM´s eyes....they´re strangely wet.....

When the asteroid explodes and shrunk into this size-of-a-pie light....I knew that it was over...and that made me really cry.....good bye last of the BrunnenG...goodbye Lexx.....

oh yes I shed my tears but there was a sense of completion about the last episode. Kai singing YO WAY YO made me gulp and sing along with him, his last breath..he died the way he wanted, a hero. It was sorta like sad but a finale he was looking for..but I thought to myself when I watched Xev..she sure did get over his death kinda quick didn't she? For someone who professed to love the dead man so much..she didn't mourn for long..

Oh I wailed like a baby, to the point where my other half, the Grand Wazoo, became quite alarmed. I am grateful at least that Kai had a 'good' death completing what he had set out to do, and he had some dignity and feeling before he finally departed this mortal coil.

I think when you look at the responses to this post you can see what Lexx meant to everyone and how important it was in their lives. I know some people would say I was sad to have felt the way I did about a TV programme ending, but what they seem to forget is that when you watch a show for years and years, the characters, actors, storys and everything else involved with the show becomes a part of your life, and when it ends as it did you are truly affected by it's loss.

I bet if everyone listed how Lexx affected their lives (good or bad) I think it would become more apparent to the non Lexxicans out there what Lexx meant to us.

I cried the first time I saw it, and I have cried every single time since. I tend to begin at the start of Lexx and watch all the way through over a series of many nights (usually takes me about a month to get through the whole thing) so it refreshes everything; by the time it gets to the end, I'm bawling.

After discovering the Lexx many years ago I just now finally got to see the final episode. Like most of the people on here I too cried many times throughout the whole episode. It was such an awesome show and was so sad to see it end.

Hi IsisVamp, welcome to Lexxverse.  It was an awesome show and I remember watching the last ep on Sci Fi 6 years ago and I think for the first time ever was genuinely sad to see a show end.  It was definitely unique and that is why I think I liked the show so much.

Thanks for the welcome Angel. It is nice to be amoungst people who love the Lexx like I do. Though I was sad to see it end at least the ending was a good one, though I would have liked to have seen Kia live on (big Kia fan). Michael McManus is a great actor and it doesn't hurt that he is absolutely yummy as well! I was a big fan of Forever Knight and was very dissapointed on how they choose to end it.

Hi, new to the forum, and decided this was the best place for my first post.

During the last episode of Lexx, I cried like a baby. Seriously, Kai is the love of my life and he makes me happy.. and I was seriously wounded when I realized there will be no more adventures.

"Kai, Kai sing with us, join us in our song!"

Yaw, I cried too. My mascara smudged in streams of tears on my face. The last episode felt like some one dear had just past away and I would never see them again. But, what is so super is after all these years from seeing the last show, I stumbled upon this great web site where the spirit of Lexx does truely live on. The people who post here are perhaps the most witty, wild, whimsy, wise cracking, wacky, worldly and wonderful people gathered on any web site. Yo Way Yo!!!

Thanks for the nice compliment about the board. My philosophy is don't take Lexx very seriously, love it for what it is/was, have a good time, a good debate and keep the wisecracks coming, in other words just enjoy lexx and your fellow lexxian comrades.

I watched the last episode for the first time two days ago and though i didn't actually cry I felt really sad afterwards.  Partly because it was the last ever episode but it was also upsetting to see Kai and the Lexx die and knowing I wont see them again. I was dissaponted that Priest and Bunny didn't die though that would have been some consolation, they were really getting on my nerves by the end of the season.
At least Stan and Xev survived and maybe 790 too.

Im getting Lexx withdrawal now though ive just watched every single episode of Lexx in the last month or so, one or  two episodes a day, most of them for the first time.  Oh well back to the beggining I suppose:D

Hi everyone!
I watched the last episode yesterday, and yeah, I also cried like a baby.
I only discovered the show last month when I caught a rerun on TV, but I got hooked and since then I've watched all the seasons on joost.
I think I'll suffer from withdrawal symptoms tonight, so I can definitely relate to 790 above me:)

Yeah I did. Haven't seen it since cause I don't have the series in my house and can't find anywhere online besides Veoh that has the last season eps. I couldn't believe that they ended it like that *is sad all over again* They should start showing the eps on SciFi again.

first i have to say I'm so glad this is here. It shows how much Lexx means to so many people. I first saw the series years ago when it was on tv. And i only saw a few episodes, but it made a lasting impression on me. and a couple of months ago i decided to seek it out and found all 4 series, which i've now just finished watching through the third time. When Kai dies for real at the end it affects me in a very deep way. I def cry a little but the real effect are the days after. It is a sort of lingering sadness and i immediately want to start watching it all over again because i miss them.

anyways. just wanted to say hi and thank you for being here. glad this post is here too. i'm not the only one who weeps for the passing of the last of the Brunnen-G

I didn’t cry when watching the last episode although I was sad that it had finished. I was happy they left it on an ending where they could in the future pick it up again. Not that I think they will though.

Hi KaiBlueStar, welcome to Lexxverse.  I cried too at the end, not only because it was the end of Lexx, but it was just sad that it was the end of Kai, and the end of the bugship Lexx, big ole dumb bug that it was.

yes "baby" Lexx cheered me up too. and it is interesting how they left it open ended even though it is highly unlikely there will ever be a continuation. I suppose it's up to us fans to continue the story in our minds or possibly on paper for the fun of it! is there anyone out there who has done this? I imagine there must be

i've just re-watched the whole of lexx, from epidode 1 to the last and i have to say, Lexx saying that Stan was his favourite captain had me filling up. Then, once the end was near and Kai cut himself and found himself bleeding, then knowing he was dieing and singing the Brunen Gee fight song had me blubbing like a baby, such a beautiful ending and well handled, makes me appreciate Lexx so much more.

When i first saw it a few years ago i was sad but didnt cry, since then a lot of personal things have happend and watching the whole of Lexx again has allowed me to express my emotions and i feel so much more connected to it its strange...

Welcome to the board, Prince, and we all share your feelings about Lexx. The Season 4 ending was traumatic to a bunch of us and it still brings a tear to my eye to watch Kai sacrifice himself to save others. Truly a noble storyline. Hat's off to Paul Donovan, Jeffrey Hirschfield, and Lex Giggeroff for their amazing talent and stamina.

I did! It felt quite similar to you're first ever break up. It is over, I will never get it back and I will never love another the same way. Of course a little melodramatic, the feeling fades, but Yo Way Yo was heart breaking and heart warming all at the same time.

Whoa, just reading everybody's comments here is makin' me tear up a little! I've been trying to work on a fanfic of Lexx, but I can only do a page or so at a time since I tend to get emotional whenever I write =^o^= Gosh, to think I've been working on this particular fic - off and on - for five years! Wow, do I miss Lexx! And Stanley H. Tweedle

I was totally expecting a happy ending of sorts - for Prince to keep his end of the bargain, and us to see a few brief minutes of a living Kai - so was surprised and disappointed to see Prince trick Kai.

I didn't cry, but was upset by the ending, and how unfair it was for Kai.

After a few days I realised that that was the perfect ending for the show as it was consistent with the way the show didn't follow the usual conventions for sci fi, so why should the ending either. It had a poetic symmetry too, but that still doesn't make me like it any more. :(

I cried as well, but only because I was AGAIN out of stuff to watch. LEXX had given me something to obsess over, and now it's all over, and I feel a big empty void without more LEXX, it's terrible :(

I did cry over the last episode thinking back, but it wasn't when Kai died, it was when the LEXX said to Stan ...

"... And Stan"
"Yes LEXX"
"I'm going to miss you very much"
"I'm going to miss you too LEXX ..."

Definitely teared up. I watched it last night. I think the only reason I didn't have one of my normal gushers (my boyfriend was looking at me intently expecting me to have one, evil!! lol) is because I had mentally prepared myself for it. It also helped that Lyekka Vs. Japan had a scene of Kai meditating with a Buddhist monk. I had come to see Kai as some kind of transcendent Buddhist character so it made me feel better somehow. He's beyond death and life and totally zen to me, really. I would have liked to have seen a longer show in order to accurately draw it out a bit more since it was such a big blow to the psyche, though. I also kept wondering why Kai decided to just take it into the core and not drop it. I'm not sure if I'm missing some key semantics there, but I wager that he felt it was his time to die and that he should have died a full 6,000 years ago. He couldn't just cheat death because he knew he was already dead and had just been lucky enough to be able to unite soul and body in order to just die. I believe he laughed because he was phenomenally lucky in the end, even after all the irony of his strange existence.

I cried because I thought it was a shame that the series was over and that it would not get to see more adventures with the characters. Then there was also relief that my Lexx marathon was finally over. 65 hours in seven days is hard!
I cry almost every time an attractive or good actor dies in movies / series.

I really wish they would have done a Lexx movie at the end, showing an adventure with little lexx, and that Stan and Xev got a home.

That's a Lexx overload all at once, Nalle!

Tears alone can not discribe the emotions in the last episode. I only saw a few episodes way back when. (It was at the mercy of the people, I babysat for, they had cable}. When I found the complete series on Netflix. I too saw them all back to back. With the uniqueness of THE LEXX the viewer becomes bonded to the characters and they become family. And as with any family it is hard to say GOOD--BYE.
But, what the hay? We have video.

I didn't cry. Because I'm too manly. But I did think it was some of the most powerful acting in the entire series.

a woman weeping helps to cope with pain. And men are not so, their grief and their pain crying is not facilitated, no. Women believe it with difficulty, but it's true - the tears of men is not easier.

I didn't cry. I was impressed the way they finished everything. The moment of Kai's death is still one of my favourite, the same is true for the whole episode. When I watch Lexx I know that I can do it whenever I want and it's always possible to press a stop button and switch on my imagination. Sometimes I do it, simply press stop at random and start inventing something different.

When it comes to the last episode, it won't be an exeggeration to say that at the moment, I continue the adventures by reading Abby's stories. It has nothing to do with hypochracy, she is really doing something huge and she manages to keep the Lexx spirit. So, even if I felt sorry they've decided to finish on the 4th season, now I compensate it by the mentioned reading.

As I write this I am watching the last episode. I feel quite sad at the end of the adventure, and how it is ending. Maybe next year, I may watch it again. I've never been a fan-fic reader of any kind. Just not my thing. I may make an exception. No I am not crying. If I were being hormonal I would be crying.

There are many episodes that make me sad:
Death of Zev.
Death of May.
Death of Lexx.
Kai`a destructions and deaths.
And much more.

I just finished watching THE LEXX, all episodes, straight through, for the 6th time. I start to cry the moment Yo WAY YO starts and continue until it is over.
The perfect saddest ending ever.

it was good wasn't it? I also cried, but not because it ended, because of the unrequited love Xev had for Kai..and how still at the end she was left with her heart in her hands..do you think Kai felt the loss of love also?

The answer your question is YES! All you have to do is read KAI's facial expression. It speaks volumes. What a good actor MM is.
